Bridge 2023 - Far too many bugs to file all separately...
Come on, developers, the 2023 version is like an early test version...
Seriously, there are too many bugs in this version to file it separately...No what? Should I reinstall every year the old version of an Adobe product, just because the developer team doesn't know how the prior version has worked???
Here is the list of the bugs discovered just when giving a ty to the new version:
Preview focus loss: hit spacebar to preview a file, then click on the other monitor. Bang, you can't return to the thumbnail view, you are stuck on zooming in/out the…

Metadata File Properties: Application field Displays out of date information
The <Application> field in <File Properties> displays out of date information. If I update a file using PhotoShop Elements 2021 (PSE), the <File Info> field in PSE correctly shows that PSE updated the data. However the equivalent field in Bridge 2022 shows the previous application (ie, my camera). Both ACDSee and IrfanView correctly show that PSE updated the file. I use this field to recall what files have been updated and is therefore important. I may well continue with ACDSee instead.

Bug: File info window's Description field in Bridge
When selecting a single or multiple images in content panel and opening the 'File info' window, the 'Description' field is excessively tall, but still hides the text written to it. The field is scalable, but it scales back to whatever size once you reopen it.

Bridge CEPHtmlEngine hangs up c/o custom metadata panel extension
I’ve installed the custom metadata panel extension for Bridge and when I press the Settings button in that panel I'm given two choices one of which is the “Open View Editor” and below it I select default and then a new window opens with a spinning circle and just gets stuck permanently. I later got a system message that this process is stuck…
High CPU usage due to CEPHtmlEngine
On another thread (below) someone seem to have a similar experience and someone came to their assistance asking for logs. I followed the steps and have logs to share if that…

New Adobe Bridge 2019 freezes
Working in the new Adobe Bridge 2019 today. After working a while, the screen freezes - I can move cursor, etc. however cannot open a file, make a selection, quite Bridge, etc. Only option is to Force Quite Bridge on Mac (current OS) and open again. Open the apps, make a selection and then freezes again. Done this multiple times with same affect. Can no longer continue my work. Was working OK when first installed, however no longer.

After updating Bridge, thumbnails now look very low resolution
I updated Bridge today to version 14.0.2.191 and now the thumbnails look blurry. I was using the previous version of Bridge today, prior to the update, and there were no problems.
I attempted to change the Thumbnail preview settings to high quality, but it has made no difference. However, when I use the thumbnail zoom slider, and the thumbnails are enlarged to a much bigger size, then they become high quality.
I am thinking this is a glitch/bug. I'd appreciate some feedback, because I'm not happy with the new and "improved" substandard thumbnails.

Bridge locks up when deleting a JPG through the app
I am currently running Bridge 15.0.2 on a Windows 11 PC. Every time I try to delete a photo through the application it locks up and does not response to anything else. I have to go to Windows Task Manager to kill the Bridge process. Occasionally, if I let it sit long enough I get an Error pop-up. However, the box is too small and does not have a scroll option to move down to the Submit / cancel button.

Adobe Bridge "Get Photos from Camera" bugs RAW files, causing "File Info" to crash when editing multiple RAW files.
So I spent a couple of hours trying fresh installs, no scripts, fresh preferences etc.....
I believe I have found a bug which causes RAW files to become bugged after importing RAW files with Bridge's "Get photos from Camera".
My normal workflow was to import my RAW's in Bridge using the 'Get photos from camera'.
I would then select all RAWs & use 'File Info' to edit the Metadata of all files at once.Recently after an update, Bridge's 'File info' would crash if I selected multiple RAWs to edit, but work fine…

Metadata Keywords sometimes impossible to read/write
Hello,
when adding IPTC Core KeyWords to .mp4 or .mov files, I sometimes get an error message telling some files don't accept them. See screenshot.
I thing it's a Bridge bug:
- some minutes before, those files accepted to get the same keywords, issued files belong to the same group of files that work fine, produced the same minute with the same movie camera - after using the following trick, those files work fine again. My TEMPORARY SOLUTION:
…1/ create a Premiere project 2/ import issued files in the project 3/ use the1 vote -
can't open files directly from Bridge
From Bridge, if I try to open an image by double-clicking or hitting <return> I get the following: Previous versions of Photoshop and Bridge worked fine together - doesn't anyone test these releases in the real world before turning them loose?
Could not complete your request because the file is locked, you do not have necessary access permissions, or another program is using the file. Use the ‘Get Info’ command in the Finder to ensure the file is unlocked and you have permission to access the file. If the problem persists, save the document to a different …

Bridge Beta v14.0.0.57 BUG: no thumbnails for RAW files AND no CameraRaw!!!
Bridge Beta v14.0.0.57 BUG: no thumbnails for RAW files AND no CameraRaw (Ctrl+R not working, and there's also no CameraRaw in the menus)!!!
It (CameraRaw, Ctrl+R, ...) is not working on Canon CR2 and CR3 files, also not working on simple JPG files too!
The very same is working in "normal" Bridge (v13.0.4.755).2 votesHi,
This issue is fixed with the latest Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) 15.5.1 update.

Bridge wont open files in Photoshop
A few days ago I could double click a photoshop file in Bridge and it opens in Photoshop, now it does nothing after restarts etc. No new app installs and updates. Not sure why suddenly files refuse to open. What is the point of having bridge now?

Adobe Camera Raw grayed out in Bridge for formats other than RAW files.
I'm using the latest version of Bridge CC (9.0.3). The option to Open in Camera Raw is grayed out for jpg, png, tif. But, it works fine with raw nef files. It seems the problem came with the recent update as it used to work fine. I tried resetting preferences and installing recent older versions of Bridge 9, but the problem persists.

Automatic stacking of raw and jpg versions of same image
My camera can has a RAW+JPG mode where both formats of an image are generated. It would be great if Bridge would automatically create a two image stack of these, so that when deleting images, I can get rid of (or save or move) both at the same time. I think Apple's Photos app does something like this.

HEVC Video Crashes Adobe Bridge 2021
Video files create on iPhone - HEVC format - cause Bridge 2021 to hang when that file is selected, or among a group of files selected. dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe may be part of the culprit in that trying to move a HEVC file after Bridge 2021 hangs results in a 'file busy' response from Windows. Killing the dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe process frees up the file(s). Bridge 2020 does not have this issue. This happens on multiple machines and I suspect should be easy to repeat.
