Batch Rename enhanced with more Metadata Tokens (very limited now)
Currently, the batch rename in bridge only allows you to pick from a few options
from the Metadata, by adding a all the fields it will allow for a much more powerful process.4 votes -
Scrolling is too slow everywhere in Bridge 2025
Today I updated Bridge to 2025. I was using 2022 because of the newly introduced features were too annoying.
I am very-very sad to experience this SLOOOOOW scrolling speed in EVERY list. This must be some bad taste or lack of understanding among the devs... I tried these:
- Folders
- Images
- Filters
- Preferences -> File type associations
- Preferences -> MetadataIt seems that in every list one scrolling (a half wheel) scrolls around 2 lines of text which is infuriating. Yet the scrollbars are thin, grabbing with the mouse is another challenge. All these contribute to…

Problems with the new version 2025
I am a photographer, 99% of my workflow with photographs is done in Adobe Bridge withx CameraRaw. I use a MacBook M1 and the new update is much slower than the previous one and has problems when importing photo and video files with photo downloader, this did not happen with the previous version, I hope you can fix it soon.

multiple magnifying glasses on one image
Multiple magnifying glasses in one image - it would be nice to see a detail zoom of multiple points on one image, especially when comparing to a similar image (ex: see which image is sharpest across multiple depth of field areas)

Filter exactly 1 star rating
In Bridge it is only possible to filter "1 star ore more", while LR can filter exact star ratings. Please add a filter function to filter exact 1 star / 2 stars / ...and so on

Smart Collections: HEIC added to list of searchable document types
This is a simple one. Just add .heic to the already long list of document type searches in smart collections.

auto stack for similar images
When photographing birds (or wildlife in general) you end up with a lot of images of almost the same scene. Would be very helpful to let Bridge auto stack the similar images so we only have to choose the best of each stack for processing (or can be also more than 1). Rating we can do ourselves/manually. For this purpose, a stack should also be able to opened in a separate window (full screen), so you can make a good decision of which image to keep/edit.

IPTC: Digital Source Type and TDM Opt-Out
Newer fields from the IPTC standard or predefined values are missing under copyright law. The Digital Source Type must be revised in the vocabulary. The specification ‘Created with software’ is now inadequate in view of artificial intelligence. The field for opting out of text and data mining is also missing.

Remove or change the color of the blue lines around active panels and thumbnails
Since Adobe Bridge 2022, version 12, a blue line has appeared around active panels and thumbnails in versions 13, 14, and now 15. Please consider adding an option to turn off this feature or change the color. It is very distracting when reviewing images for photo editing.

Scrolling feature needs improvement
It seems like every time I get a brand new version of Bridge, the scrolling feature becomes slow and exhausting. I was previously able to reach the bottom of my photos in just a few scrolls of the mouse wheel. Now when I scroll, it takes FOREVER to reach the bottom. The page doesn't even jump a half step when scrolling when it used to jump a full step. I now have to drag the side bar to reach the bottom. This is not user friendly at all. Please please please return it to the fast, smooth scrolling we had…

Please improve Window / Tab management (i.e. closer to how it was around 2-3 years ago)
I understand that tabs were introduced because some people deeply wanted them, which I can understand, but for me they have really ruined the Bridge workflow to the point I rarely use it anymore unless I absolutely need to.
Ideally I would love an option to restore all UI functionality to how it was two or three versions ago before tabs were introduced, but I understand that might be impractical to maintain. Therefore, it'd be extremely helpful if the following improvements could be made:
1) Proper tab controls:
Basically any other application I've ever used that has tabs (including photoshop…1 vote -
Send to Premiere Pro and Media Encoder Betas
Adobe Bridge is compatible with After Effects and Photoshop Betas. It should be compatible with Premiere Pro and Media Encoder betas too, so we can send to Premiere and ME from the Tools menu.

Shortcut CTRL+F4 and Close All Tab
I use bridge as the default folder browser in windows.
I don't understand why Adobe removed the shortcut (Ctrl+F4) to close tabs and also removed the option to click on a tab to close them all (Close All).
These are such futile things that make a total difference in the daily work routine, greatly optimizing time.
Please Adobe, come back with these features that existed before and I don't know why they were removed.
Thanks.

Edit Metadata/File Properties Panel
The Best thing about Bridge is being able to See nearly all file types. However, designers often wear more than one hat. Photography, Web, Print, Video...etc.
The problem with the Metadata and file info panel is that it's extremely useless.
This panel should be customizable to the file type selected. If the file is an illustrator file, one should be able to see and move around all the fields that are possible. Inch, CM, Pixel, Pages, Colour...etc
if a file type doesn't have F-Stop info, it shouldn't take up 20% of this valuable space.

Bridge file renaming and batching
Suppose you had a whole bunch of .eps files scattered in many folders.
Using Bridge (with Show Items from Subfolders) I can select them all, even though they are in multiple sub-folders.
I wish to cycle them through Illustrator; and Save-As to a current .AI file ... saved back into the correct sub-folder.
How would you automate that? An action? How would it know the correct subfolder?
(BTW, in Bridge, you can automate batching pixel-based files to whatever you want like .PSD. But that won't work for vector graphics.)
Bridge file renaming is pretty good, but cannot yet GREP search…

Option to remember field values
Metadata fields like IPTC's Country have a limited number of likely values, e.g. "USA". It would be good to have the application 'remember' values and disambiguate as the user types, to speed metadata editing and eliminate extra keystrokes.

Batch apply Metadata to specific fields at the directory/Folder Level
Very often I need to apply the same metadata to a limited number of fields, to a large number of files across multiple subdirectories. Right now, I have to open each subdirectory and select the files then re-type the meta data. It would be much more productive if I could select the folders I want to edit and then edit a batch metadata window where blank fields would retin existing file metadata, and where I enter metadata, it would replace whatever data is in individual metadata fields in the individual files, across all the subdirectories.
