Panel Expansion via Tab Button
Used to be that hitting the TAB key would give full screen precedence to the main viewing panel, hiding all side panels (folders, metadata, filters, etc), and hitting it again would go back to the multi panel view. Not an option any more.

Panel Management (many issues)
There used to be a secret/invisible margin between the title column (on the left) and the unique metadata (on the right) that w could grab and slide left or right to reveal more of the File Properties, Exif, Core, Extensions, etc. Now, we must enlarge the entire panel to see whatever data we wish. It's not dynamic either, if we shrink the screen view. Just one of many features that have been removed on this new version.

Selecting via Click & Drag
In previous iterations, we used to be able to hold down the alt/command key (Mac), and drag over many thumbnail icons (in alternating columns, let's say), and each would be added to the overall selection. Now that is not the case. While we can click on single thumbnails in a panel while holding down alt/command, the selection refreshes with each new "click and drag."
I occasionally take many screenshots (cmd + shift + 3 on a Mac) which grabs BOTH screens, but I may only need the image on one. When I go back into Bridge, those end up as…

Stop the active thumbnail in Bridge reverting to first file when deselecting rated files
This was never a problem before but it's killing my work flow as a photographer working on hundreds of files....
if ive rated a few hundred files with 1 star as a 'longlist' and i then filter my selection by these 1 star rated files i often go back through to deselect some more to trim it down. when i do, i hit Cmd + 0 to revert the chosen file to 'no rating' and Bridge now returns me to the first file in the selection-back at the
start of the whole list...Instead , which it used to do,…

Preferences for View/Sort/.
I would like to be able to set preferences for View/sort rather than having to go into it every time.

Information Popup
Hovering the mouse over the thumbnail will bring up an information window. In previous versions it would stay below the thumbnail filename, plus it had a small delay. Now to be immediate the appearance of the window is quite annoying, and covering the file name if you want to rename is quite uncomfortable, having to resort to the right button to do so.

AI color correction
I would like an AI color correction workspace. There are online services where you upload LR libraries, it analyzes your color correction preferences, and it mass applies to a new library. It would be great if Adobe did this so I didn't have to go to another service. I personally don't like LR and am a fan of Bridge, so I'd prefer both to have it.

Relative previous conversion
There is an apply previous conversion option in Bridge, but what about a relative previous conversion option? For example, you've color corrected 1,000 images. Some were color corrected at night, so naturally those images are a little bit off. You could use the copy and paste settings to only select color balance, but then you notice that by going cooler on the color balance, the images need a little bit brighter exposure. This has to be done manually for each image as every image is a little bit different when it comes to exposure, especially if you're shooting with flash…

Save work while editing in Camera Raw
Lately Camera Raw has been freezing and the way to unfreeze computer it to force close Bridge, therefore losing all my edits as there is no save command on Camera Raw. The only way to save images is to click Done. However if I wanna be saving my edits as I’m making them it’s tedious to be opening and closing camera raw. Ctrl+S saves a new file with applied edits. It’d be nice to have Ctrl+S to work has it does on Photoshop, so that I can save my images in Camera Raw as I’m working on them so that…

ACR edit metadata for jpgs
I want to be able to see the edits made to jpg images in ACR in LightRoom. It appears I can save the ACR edit data as an xmp but then that data cannot be imported into LightRoom as it could if they were raw files.
Need to be able to either embed the edit details into the jpg properly from bridge/ACR or to open the xmp file and import it to LightRoom when working with jpgs
thank you

Transparent background identifier within embedded metadata
What is the embedded metadata attribute and value to identify if a transparent background exists within a digital image by metadata alone? There is a need to be able to know they are present via metadata, look it up on Bridge via metadata and report on it in bulk for hundreds of thousands of images at a time. Not by visually checking each image which is unrealistic in volume. If it does not exist today, can we have a means of identifying Transparent backgrounds within embedded metadata that can be checked (in bulk) for many images? I did find the…

'Export to' - Make it possible to batch rename files you're about to export
When I batch export my selected amount of pictures to jpegs into a selected folder, they will recieve the same name as the original raw images. After the export, I will have to select all these images again in the new folder and rename them with 'Batch Rename'. These are two steps which can easily be incorporated into the 'Export To' promt. This has been in Lightroom for ages, but not in Bridge. It would be nice if the 'export to' prompt would also have the same preset dropdown menu like batch rename, which enables you to also make your…

Coloured labels and stars on a network
The coloured labels and stars do not update when files are stored on a network. This is annoying when working with several people from different computers.

Double Clicking folder does NOT make it E X P A N D (expand)
Like the previous 10+ versions of Bridge, when you double-click on a folder it expands to show other folders inside. Most professionals do this HUNDREDS of times a day. This is REMOVED in Bridge 2023.
Instead of having a nice large area to double-click on (the ENTIRE folder name), you have to EXACTLY click (I'm talking 1 pixel off and it doesn't work) on the super small little arrow > next to it instead.
This un-needed precision which is now required takes WAY longer to navigate through folders, especially when file management is a HUGE part of many creative jobs.…

Move/delete the big "Remove from collection" ribbon
Bridge 2023: I like the restyling.
I suggest the ribbon shown in my attached screenshot to be removed. It eats a significant space, especially a filmstrip configuration (screenshot). The same action can already be reached from the context menu.
Alternatively, to avoid the use of the context menu, the "Remove from collection" button could be moved (shrinked) in the lower part of the Collections panel (besides the other commands in icons); or, pressing the "Del" button could provide the two options of deleting and just removing from the collection.
Thanks for considering.2 votes
