IPTC Core metadata fields and data not displaying correctly
Adobe Bridge 2025 update is not displaying the metadata fields and actual data in the IPTC Core section correctly.
Description field shows text, but the text box is expanded way beyond what actual text there is.
IPTC Core section doesn't display all the metadata fields.3 votes -
Problems with Metadata panel (15.0.0.397)
I would like to report some bugs in the "Metadata" window/panel (Windows).
As far as I can tell this was introduced in the latest version of Bridge (15.0.0.397) (never seen this before now).As can be seen in the examples below, some fields gets way to large (high) or to small (only a single line).
Also, sometimes there are large areas of unused pace.In the examples below I have undocked the "Metadata" window to make it a bit larger (when docked the behavior is the same, but more difficult to observe).
See screening dumps below:

custom metadata panel doesn't allow copy and paste
Using the Adobe Custom Metadata extension, you can't copy or paste text from fields like a bag or single text. You can select the text in the relevant field, but copy/paste acts on the selected image instead. This causes the user to duplicate images instead of trying to copy a metadata value from one image to others.
This massively reduces the useful of using the panel in conjunction with AEM or for any QA workflows.

Recent Adobe Bridge HEIC metadata editing issue
I’m using Adobe Bridge as a stand-alone software to add and maintain metadata of photos that I save in a Finder folder structure. I’m not using Photoshop, Camera Raw or other Adobe applications.
Until recently, I was able to add metadata to HEIC files in Adobe Bridge that originate from my iPhone or that I created out of RAW files from my Nikon DLSR in Pixelmator Pro. For whatever reason, it’s no longer possible to edit the metadata of HEIC photos which I previously edited via Adobe Bridge. It’s still possible to see them (except in the ‘Keywords’ Panel) but…

Wasted space on Metadata Panel
There seems to be an unnecessary waste of space on the Metadata Panel as per attached image shown in red. This screenshot is how I have my Bridge set up and there is more wasted space in the Metadata Panel than there is space to enter the data. Please remove the wasted space or allow a scroll bar on the bottom of the panel to allow data more room than the side of the panel.

Pannello Metadati - IPTC - descrizione

Bridge does not show color space of AI or PDF files
Bridge 14.x does not show the embedded color profiles of at least Illustrator and Acrobat files. (AI and PDF).
In the metadata section it simply says next to Color Profile: Untagged.
But these files do have embedded Color Profiles. 100%.
Bridge is simply not reading them. These are Adobe native files. Bridge should be able to get all available information out of those files.

There is an error in the GPS conversion
There is an error in the GPS conversion. There was an error in the GPS unit conversion, and it included "," even though it was a "decimal" number. In addition, even if you input the GPS information displayed by the bridge into GIS, you will not be able to reach the exact location.

Creating a metadata template doesn't work | Bridge 2023 - version 14.0.0.102
The list of metadata attributes doesn't show up, therefore I can't select and add e.g. Author/Copyright information.

Export sized images without metadata doesn't work | Bridge Beta 14.0.0.102 Mac
I am using the beta version of Bridge now (14.0.0.102) and still the metadata is stored in the file as soon as you use the 'resize to' function. Is doesn't matter if you set the 'Include Original Metadata' option to 'Copyright only'.
A bit dissapointed that Adobe didn't fix this in all those years. For me this is a reason to still not use Bridge on a day by day basis.1 vote -
DNG files cannot store xmp metadata
I use Adobe Bridge to manage my DNG photos, but noticed that I cannot add keywords to my photos' metadata recently. Every time I try to add keywords, it shows "The file cannot store XMP metadata. No changes will occur."
Around 3 weeks ago, I was able to modify DNG metadata in Bridge (don't know what's the version by then).
Files are with read & write permissions as usual. Purging cache in Bridge does not help.

Can't reliably batch-embed metadata in Bridge anymore (using Bridge 2023)
Often when applying a preset metadata template or nearly always when individually selecting a series of images in Bridge to apply captions, descriptions, locations, keywords, etc. Bridge now tries to generate new thumbnails as soon as I start typing in a field (or pasting into a field) and will not allow me to embed or add new information into any fields if I have a larger number of raw-format files in a folder.
For example, I'll have a set of 500+ DNG format photos from an event and after waiting for Bridge to generate the thumbnails, I'll apply my standard…

Using tab key to move down to next metadata field sometime moves the cursor UP to previous field
Starting with Bridge 2023, using the tab key to move to the next metadata field down no longer works properly. Instead of moving down to the next field, pressing the tab key will randomly move UP to the previous field instead. This is happening on several computers with different user accounts, so I know it's not machine specific or user error.

GPS:Altitude does not propagate
If I assign GPS Lat, Long, and Altitude to a RAW file (Canon CR3) in Bridge v13.0.3.693 and then process it in PS 2023, the resultant JPG file has no altitude. The Lat & Lon values propagate to the JPG but not the altitude

Metadata panel does not update
After performing numerous Metadata keywords and description edits across 100+ files in the Content Window, selecting an individual Thumbnail no longer updates the Metadata panel. In order to refresh the Metadata panel, you must click into the dialog window of each metadata element.
