New Adobe Bridge 2019 freezes
Working in the new Adobe Bridge 2019 today. After working a while, the screen freezes - I can move cursor, etc. however cannot open a file, make a selection, quite Bridge, etc. Only option is to Force Quite Bridge on Mac (current OS) and open again. Open the apps, make a selection and then freezes again. Done this multiple times with same affect. Can no longer continue my work. Was working OK when first installed, however no longer.
P.S. THIS IS A BUG REPORT - NOT AN IDEA AS POSTING BUTTOM IMPLIES. CLICK ON "REPORT BUGS" ON RIGH SIDE AND THIS IS THE SCREEN ONE GETS.

this issue is still happening in Bridge 2020. Adobe does not know how to listen and fix things. They are polite and appologetic. They are ripe for competition

I have always flagged and culled in Bridge using Ctrl 1,2,3,4,5 to star my favorites. That only works about 30% of the time!!! What can I do to fix this ... it is killing my flow!???

On my end, the problem has nothing to do with cache generation. Bridge freezes even if cache generation has completed.
I'm on a MacBook Pro running macOS Mojave (10.14). Bridge 2019 freezes all the time, especially after Batch Renaming or moving files from one folder to another even on a local drive. It becomes completely unresponsive and you can only Force Quit the application and restart.
Bridge 2018 was really stable, but Bridge 2019 is unusable. -

Same here. Bridge 2018 is still installed so I've had to go back to using that. Moving files on the MacBook Pro internal HDD.

A few more details to add to my report below, if this helps.
It just happened to me for the third time, immediately after copying (option-dragging) some tagged files into a folder in the Bridge window. The copy completed, and Bridge stopped accepting UI clicks and pressed keys. The previous time I was not copying files, though I don't remember what exactly I was doing.
New things I noticed:
Arrow keys cause the computer to beep, so it knows I'm pressing them. It’s just unable to respond for whatever reason.
Mousing-over UI items works fine: the stars under a thumbnail still highlight one by one as you mouse-over them, though you can’t click them. UI buttons also show their button-outline highlight as you mouse-over them.
Using the menu bar to e.g. set and clear the star ratings works normally, so the “OS part of the app” is accepting clicks and functioning fine underneath the apparent “freeze.” It’s the Bridge window that’s acting up.

Same for me. Happens after file transfer (move or copy) and progress dialogue opens.
Dialogue does not exit cleanly and retains 'focus' so you have no control over the app.
Also happens when running scripts, they will no longer exit cleanly.
Happens on local and network storage

Yes, for me the issue persists. I am browsing on a local drive, with a Mac 2016 laptop and the macOS High Sierra.

Twice now I've experiencing the same thing. It seems to happen after having used Bridge 2019 for a bit, but this last time certainly less than a half hour since the last launch.
For me it's not a full freeze: Menus are responsive, but most items are grayed out including "About Bridge..." and "Quit Bridge" in the Apple Menu, meaning I have to force quit. The feeling is as though there's some invisible modal dialog demanding my attention before it will allow me to use the rest of the app.
Nothing in the main window is clickable, and normal keyboard commands (arrows etc) are ignored.
A handful of menu items like slideshow are available, but when I chose that as a test, I still had no keyboard so I couldn't stop it, and had to force quit Bridge to escape.
iMac 5k, 40GB RAM, Mac OS 10.14 Mojave. Browsing local files, cache generation has completed long ago.

Have you tried clicking away to another app and back again? I've been living with Bridge freezing for years but this brings it back. I believe it's something to do with external screens or Wacom drivers, never got to the bottom of it.

This is NOT a cache loading issue. Program is freezing.

Installed Bridge CC 2019 as soon as it was released. Now I imported 769 images from an SDHC card and the Bridge interface completely froze. At is not possible to quit! So I will have to Force Quit!

BOTTOM LINE TO THIS..... Bridge is useless since it does not work consistently. Spend more time restarting app than doing work.

Once recourse was to FORCE QUIT.... it would not clear up NO MATTER HOW LONG I waited (30 minutes on time). Then it later it started working again after opening app without any issue.
This morning I opened app, created a Sub-folder and drag contents from folder to sub-folder - THEN IT HUNG AGAIN. ONLY RECOURSE - FORCE QUIT - waiting seems to be of no use.
NEVER had this problem until the upgrade yesterday. -
