  1. custom metadata panel doesn't allow copy and paste

    Using the Adobe Custom Metadata extension, you can't copy or paste text from fields like a bag or single text. You can select the text in the relevant field, but copy/paste acts on the selected image instead. This causes the user to duplicate images instead of trying to copy a metadata value from one image to others.

    This massively reduces the useful of using the panel in conjunction with AEM or for any QA workflows.

  2. Bridge crashes on startup, v14.0.0.102

    Anyone have any ideas of how to fix Adobe Bridge? It crashes every time I open it, after I get a message that says "Error: ParseValue unexpected char".

    I've uninstalled and reinstalled, shut down and restarted, removed all preferences and any previous Bridge files, used older versions of the software, and tried everything in this post: "Troubleshoot Bridge for freezes and performance issues".

    There's nothing about that error message online.

  3. AppleScript does not work in Bridge 2023 and 2024

    en_US

    Until Adobe Bridge 2022, AppleScript was supported and "do javascript" commands could be executed. This allowed for integration, such as sending Finder selections directly to a scripting process in Bridge.

    However, since version 2023, AppleScript is no longer supported. There is no AppleScript dictionary sdef file in the application bundle, so there is no possibility for it to work. Even if the sdef is ported from 2022, it will not work.

  4. Videos (MP4) made with DJI Pocket 3 are not recognized and thumbnailed in Adobe Bridge

    Videos (MP4, 3K, 1:1 format, but also 4k 16:9 format) made with DJI Pocket 3 are not recognized and thumbnailed.

    Instead only the standard app icon appears.

    All other MP4 by other cameras are recognized and thumbnailed

    Please add support for Pocket 3

  5. Adobe Bridge 14.0.1.137 search don't work

    Search engine don't work with any criteria (labels, rating, keywords).
    If we have this and more ways to label the work, it sucks for not working. Anyone with the solution to this?

  6. After receiving an error that too many tabs are open I began looking for a menu item to close all tabs.

    The problem is they are called panels in the app not tabs. The names should match. What would really be nice is a button in the error dialog that literally says close all panels. At a minimum there should be a menu item - maybe under Window or View - to close all content panels.

  7. Bridge 14.0.2.191 Keywords, Labels search don't work

    Search engine don't work with any criteria (labels, rating, keywords).

  11. opening files in wrong version of PS

    Bridge v. 14.0.2: when opening files in PS it opens instead in Photoshop Beta v. 25.6. In the preferences, file type association, every file extension is associated with the correct version of PS (v. 25.5). Still, Bridge opens file in PS Beta

  12. After updating Bridge today I can no longer rename a file by copying and pasting.

    After updating Bridge today I can no longer rename a file by copying and pasting. If you highlight the file name by clicking on it and then try copying and pasting a new name, the highlight disappears and you are lift with original name. Am using Windows 11 Pro which is up to date, as of 23/02/2024.

  13. Labels & rating

    Updated Bridge to v. 14.0.4.222
    Selected 180 images, appended metadata - at least that worked
    Added keywords, at least 10 images did not have keywords added, needed to rerun keywords
    Could not add star rating or label to images either when selected individually or single; in essentials, filmstrip or light table view; or when right clicking image, icon or label ddl.
    Closed and opened Bridge 4 times including after rechecking for updates and opening via CC Desktop.
    No other apps open in the background on the desktop.

  17. Export Preset to save HEIC as JPEG causes unwanted image resize

    On Adobe Bridge version 14.0.1.137, on Windows 11 Razer Blade 15 (2018) laptop.

    When attempting to save HEIC images to smaller JPEG formats using Export Presets, the resulting images are being resized, despite the Scale Image setting under Image Resize being set to 100%. In my tests, 4032x3024 images are being resized to 2048x1152. Also, the DPI is changing to 300 dpi from the original 72 dpi, despite this not being requested.
    Attempting to use the 'Resize To' option also fails. Setting options to fit the long edge to 5000 px, and checking Don't Enlarge, still leads to 2048x1152 images,…

  18. Batch Rename Freezes Does Not Work

    Batch Rename Freezes and program will not respond. This happened today with Version 13.0.4 so I checked for updates and found Version 14.0.0 was available so downloaded it but had same issue. A few days ago I started getting a popup about Adobe Acrobat: Acrobat quit unexpectedly. Click 'Learn more' for possible fixes. However, Acrobat did not quit unexpectedly, I had just closed an Acrobat Document. This has been going on for about a week. Wondering if there is any relation to this and Batch Rename not working.   19. spacebar preview

    When you press spacebar to preview images close up, and scroll through them, then press spacebar again to exit - it has highlighted both the original photo and the photo you ended on. Effectively taking you back to where you started, not where you left off.
