  1. Bridge opens the wrong program

Just updated Bridge. When I double click a file it tries to open everything in After Effects. I've checked the file type associations and everything appears correct. Opening and closing Bridge doesn't correct the problem nor does resetting the associations.

  2. File renaming error

I attempted to batch rename a group of images. New Bridge 2019 removed my labels and ratings, dumped some metadata and put in an Adobe Bridge Temp name to some of the files.

  5. Bridge Batch Rename Bug

The batch rename function is failing to rename any files that have been previewed in Bridge.
So when trying to batch rename all the files in a given folder, the first one tends to fail as it's auto started a preview, and now Windows 10 is considering that file to be in use / protected from having changes made to it.
Infact, I can't manually rename the file in Windows either, until I shut bridge down to releasse it from that protection, allowing for changes to be made to the file.
    It's a real annoyance as…

  6. Bridge 13.0.0.562 - Cannot rename file by selecting the filename in content pane.

In previous versions of Bridge, and Windows in general, I could select a filename or folder name and then rename the file (thumbnail view).
In Bridge 13.0.0.562, there is no time delay on the tooltip that displays the file date created and date modified.
When the tooltip appears, the filename is hidden and will not switch to edit mode to allow renaming.
The context menu appears if I right click on the thumbnail, but that is not efficient and wastes time on something I need to do frequently and consistently.

  8. Bridge keeps regenerating cached thumbnails

The later versions of Bridge keeps regenerating thumbnails every time the Bridge app window gets into focus. It has been like this for a while (used to be OK, not quite sure when this error was introduced). I have been hoping this would be fixed, but no luck so far.

Here is a repeatable sequence that will show this problem:

    1) Select a smart collection in Bridge (workspace Filmstrip used)
In my case the collection targets a folder with 13 sub-folders (looking for files with one or more stars) holding the following file types:

    .acr: 6 files
    .CR2:…

  9. Ctrl + R will not open a Raw File in Bridge 2023

In Bridge 2023 Ctrl + R will not open a selected Raw File. It only generates a "Camera Raw Editing is not Enabled" message. Strangely, double clicking WILL open Camera Raw.

    Bridge 2023 version 13.0.0.562

    Windows 10 21H2

    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

    Two monitors in use

Hit spacebar to display image full screen on first monitor. Move mouse to put cursor onto second monitor. Hit spacebar to revert to nornal display. Move mouse to bring cursor back onto first monitor. Cursor is not visible over Bridge window on first monitor (but is visible on first monitor outside Bridge window). Bridge has to be closed and reopended to clear the bug.

  12. Bridge erases all keywords, label and stars

After working on keywording some images extensively, I find suddenly that there are no keywords in the metadata, and the label and stars have been erased. I am using the latest version of Bridge 9.0.1.216 x64, running on Windows 10. This has happened numerous times today and is very frustrating and a huge timewaster. Please fix this ASAP!

  13. Bridge Can't Rename a Video

In Bridge, if you select a video file, and then go to rename it, you cannot rename it. Instead, an error appears "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process" I suspect that this "other process" is actually Bridge itself, showing the preview/player for the video. Windows Explorer is able to rename the file without any similar warning. Note that this is not about batch renaming. This occurs when renaming one single video.

  14. Bridge Slideshow captions show filename only

I'm using Bridge 14.1.0 on a Mac running Sonoma 14.4.1. I would like to display the Description metadata field in Slideshow captions. In Settings > Thumbnails I have specified "Show: Description" and I can see the Descriptions just fine in the Bridge window when I select "View > As Thumbnails". However when I play a Slideshow by going to "View > Slideshow Options..." and choosing "Caption: Full", I see only the filename, with blank space below it. In fact I am unable to display any other metadata at all.

  15. Bridge: Can't open new window (multiple windows for multiple monitors)

What genius made it so Bridge 2023 can't do File > New Window? So it's IMPOSSIBLE to have a Bridge window open on multiple monitors? How can I compare two sets of images to each other on dual monitors? This is daily, run-of-the-mill, completely normal, workflow for MANY, MANY professionals... and Adobe just ruined it and made it impossible...

So OK, I'll just install the old 2022 Bridge for my 2nd monitor, then run 2023 (for hopefully some bug fixes, new features, etc.), but guess what? Adobe made it so that's impossible - can't run the 2x different versions at…

  16. Color Management in Bridge is not right

Bridge v.10.0.1.126 do not properly color manage its preview files. I use a Eizo wide gamut color calibrated display. I typically use either Adobe RGB (1998) and sRGB color space in my photographs. To prove the wrong CM, I start in Photoshop with a AdobeRGB image, save it in jpg 8bit AdobeRGB. Second step, I convert in sRGB color space and save a second jpeg, 8bit, sRGB. If you display the two images in Photoshop, you can see the differences, but when you display the two images in Bridge, you see them the same colors (that is wrong)…

  17. Wasted space on Metadata Panel

There seems to be an unnecessary waste of space on the Metadata Panel as per attached image shown in red. This screenshot is how I have my Bridge set up and there is more wasted space in the Metadata Panel than there is space to enter the data. Please remove the wasted space or allow a scroll bar on the bottom of the panel to allow data more room than the side of the panel.

  18. Bridge 2019 search fails to find all images with a given keyword.

After several days building the cache, Bridge 2019 fails to display keywords and other metadata for many images and search only returns a tiny subset of the images that should be returned. At this point, we are forced to go back to Bridge 2018.

  19. Since update, cannot use arrow keys to advance images in Bridge

Since updating bridge on two windows machines, both running Windows 11 pro, I am now unable to use the arrow keys to advance images in Bridge. The only way to move to another image is to use the mouse and click on the desired image. A re-install did not fix the issue.

  20. color labels that I applied in adobe bridge dissapears from file after I adjust the file in camera raw

Color labels that I apply in adobe bridge dissapear from files after I adjust the file in camera raw. They just vanish. So the files are left colorless (labelless, that is) and I have to scroll trough thousand files in my folder amongst the other ones that never got a label, to find the one that I had originally labeled. I have never experienced this before, have been using photoshop since 1999.
It started with the download of the newest software.
I have tried downloading and reinstalling the newest versions of bridge, camera raw and photoshop…
