  1. Adobe Bridge is very slow after updating.

Adobe Bridge 11.0.0.83 is very slow, and it is taking my computed down. It's using 23GB of memory just to show What's New.

  3. There was an error writing metadata for keywords

In Bridge 9.0.2.219 / 9.0.1.216 on Mac OSX Mojave 10.14.3

some jpeg files cannot be assigned keywords. I get the following message 'there was an error writing metadata to xxx.jpg'. Files are either located on the local HD (APFS) or an external HD (USB-C HD HFS+).

I tried to purge the cache several times as advised on forum threads, installed various versions of Camera Raw (10.X 11.X and 12.X) to no avail. I even reverted back to Bridge 9.0.1.216 but the error persists. This is pretty frustrating. Hope this can be fixed easily. Thanks !

  4. Bridge Filter Panel is blank after a few minutes of use after updating to 13.0.0.562

Bridge Filter Panel is blank after a few minutes of use after updating to 13.0.0.562
Upon restarting Bridge, the Filter Panel repopulates with my chosen criteria. I have not yet identified a trigger or situation that could be associated.

  5. Color management broken in new Bridge (Bridge 2020, Nov 2019)?

I have just updated my Bridge and Photoshop to their latest versions (November 2019, see detailed version info below).

**** See also update below (Bridge may now use PNGs for thumbnail/preview files in the cache for certain layered PSD files!)

It seems that there are some problems with color management in the new Bridge.
The previous version which I have used until yesterday worked OK. Nothing changed in my system except new Adobe apps today. !!Except: Updated my graphics driver just before Adobe apps (see version info below).

I use Bridge/Photoshop for photography. In Bridge

  6. Bridge CC 2019 crashes when I open certain folders

I have a few folders inside which I keep images I have dragged from websites as inspiration or research. These are usually jpgs, pngs, gifs or pdfs. After updating past CC 2014, Bridge crashes a few seconds after opening. Everything else seems to function. Even after sorting the files into separate folders for file type, each one crashes Bridge. Not one single update after 2014 seems to work. I'd run that version alone, but it's missing the image processor now...

I've tried re-jpg-ing the files into a new folder to sort out any possible corruptions with no…

  7. Bridge 2020 not generating previews or thumbnails

Using Bridge v 10.0.0.124. Running on macOS Mojave (because of the laundry list of unresolved problems with AC Raw and Photoshop running on Catalina).
Updated this afternoon and now Bridge won't create Thumbnails or Previews at all.

I've tried purging cache and restarting my computer and Bridge several times.

I get the "(Generating Thumbnails..., Generating Previews...) note on the bottom panel as Bridge would do normally, but even after leaving Bridge open for an hour no new previews are generated. I have a blank grey square where my image preview should be for all images in a given folder. Raw…

  8. Bridge freezes after playing one brief audio file

This is not an "idea". It is a serious bug report. Since the latest update (July 2020?), Bridge 2020 freezes after selecting one extremely brief audio WAV file. Playback "works" once, in that the playback line moves, but no sound comes out. In Windows 10 Task Manager, dynamiclinkmediaserver is taking up 90% of CPU process and over 70% of memory.

Then Bridge freezes and can only be closed through Task manager "end task". Meanwhile, even after ending it, dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe remains running and must also be terminated manually.

I rely on Bridge to preview hundreds of short sound effects clips,…

  9. Can't open .ai 2020 file from Bridge 2020 in Mac OS 10.14.6

I cannot double click to open, or right click to open an .ai 2020 file in Bridge 2020. I get either no response at all, or the error you see in the screenshot. I'm on Mac OS 10.14.6.

I can drag an .ai file from Bridge onto the Illustartor application icon in the dock.
I can reveal the file in Finder, and open it from there.

  10. Metadata panel does not update

After performing numerous Metadata keywords and description edits across 100+ files in the Content Window, selecting an individual Thumbnail no longer updates the Metadata panel. In order to refresh the Metadata panel, you must click into the dialog window of each metadata element.

  11. ACR sometimes exports pixelated jpg from .NEF

I have Bridge version 9.1.0.338 and ACR version 11.4.0.273 on a MAC Pro early 2009.
I have several shots in *.NEF format (36Mpixel), and I open them in ACR, using Adobe Bridge. Then, within ACR, I click on "save image" and input export settings reported in screenshot attached to this post. I export 8 files, and for two of them I obtain a pixelated result (attached here). The point is that if I export first from NEF to JPG, setting only the file size at 1.5Mb, and then reopen the jpg with ACR and input the same strict…

  12. Batch Rename Milliseconds 000 After Editing Files in ACR

When trying to batch rename files that have ACR settings in a .XMP sidecar file, the batch rename always puts "000" for the Milliseconds field instead of reading the original timestamp. When I delete or rename the .XMP files to not match and then do the batch rename, it works, but then I'd loose the metadata.

  13. IPTC Core metadata fields and data not displaying correctly

Adobe Bridge 2025 update is not displaying the metadata fields and actual data in the IPTC Core section correctly.
Description field shows text, but the text box is expanded way beyond what actual text there is.
IPTC Core section doesn't display all the metadata fields.

  14. Bridge BUG shows jpgs incorrectly some large and some very small

when I view my jpg images in bridge, they appear extremely small. Sometimes half are showing properly at the size I have selected and half are very small in the preview. It made me nervous thinking that bridge resized the images, but they are all the correct pixals, just not showing correct in bridge.

  15. Bug: 2019 update removes Bridge / Tools / Photoshop Menu

    MacOS
Installed Photoshop and Bridge CC2019 (psc 20.0.4)
Noticed that Tools/Photoshop menu missing. Deal breaker for me.
    Reset preferences, restarted. No luck.
Reverted to Bridge v 19.1.8. No luck.
Reverted to Photoshop v 19.1.8 - Tools / Photoshop menu is back, working as expected.

Will wait for an update with this fix mentioned in version notes before updating.

  17. Previews of .HEIC images are blurry in latest Bridge - 12.0.2.252

    Bridge 12.0.2.252
Copy .HEIC files from IPhone 13 to PC with Windows 10
Look at preview of any .HEIC file taken on an iPhone 13
Preview should be sharp but it is blurry. Previews of jpg files are fine.
I have the extensions installed and the files are OK in Photoshop and all the other Windows 10 apps.

  18. Adobe Bridge won't open after updating

I updated to Bridge version 12.0 1 this weekend and now it won't open at all. Just bounces in the dock and says 'application not responding'. I have a 2015 Mac book.

  19. Bridge does not show color space of AI or PDF files

Bridge 14.x does not show the embedded color profiles of at least Illustrator and Acrobat files. (AI and PDF).

In the metadata section it simply says next to Color Profile: Untagged.

But these files do have embedded Color Profiles. 100%.

Bridge is simply not reading them. These are Adobe native files. Bridge should be able to get all available information out of those files.

  20. File Info crashes Bridge when editing multiple RAWs NEF/DNG

    UPDATED:
So I've just done some testing, and it appears this bug is causes by importing images via Bridge's 'Get Photos from Camera'.

I just imported over 1000 Raw files from a Nikon D3 from multiple shoots, the only difference was that I copied the files directly from the CF cards.
The 'File Info' Tab function as normal with these files, however if I import the same files using 'Get Photos from Camera' then File info crashes as written below.

It DOES not appear to be camera specific as I first thought, it was…
