Wasted space on Metadata Panel
There seems to be an unnecessary waste of space on the Metadata Panel as per attached image shown in red. This screenshot is how I have my Bridge set up and there is more wasted space in the Metadata Panel than there is space to enter the data. Please remove the wasted space or allow a scroll bar on the bottom of the panel to allow data more room than the side of the panel.

Batch rename facility
I use the batch rename facility in different folders, once I'm finished sorting through images. I have various presets saved depending on what job I'm working on.
Please can we have the default set to number 1 when renumbering, or at least the option to set it always as 1. I don't want sequentially numbered images across different folders. I want to start each first image in a new folder to start at 0001. Not the last number that I finished with +11 vote -

JPGs and PNGs (on probably other formats) opening in MacOS Preview instead in Photoshop as set in preferences
After updating Bridge to the newest version (14.1.0) images are now being opened in the default system app instead of Adobe Photoshop as set in Preferences > File type associations

Bridge: file named "?.tiff" caused cache to error and exit on startup v14.0.4
Folder opens fine initially, but the second open causes a crash with an error box but blank message.
Holding down shift-option-command allowed me to clear the cache and open the folder, but the next startup crashes.
By renaming the file from "?.tiff" to "unknown.tiff" I'm able to work around the problem, but this took a long time to debug because of the lack of an error message.

Waiting for Initial thumbnail creation 2000 photos takes more than an hour....
After initial upload to computer it takes Bridge more than an hour to create all initial thumbnails; while doing so bridge pretty much hangs while processor is used for only 5%
This in unworkable; especially when you have a deadline to quick hand-in an early selection of that day's photo's for immediate publication.
Using latest Windows 11 Pro system on fast hardware.
Bridge working folder plus thumbnail cache configured on separate fast SSD NMVe drives (to no avail).Bridge software rendering on or off makes no difference.
Different preview option does not make a difference either (like embedded vs. standard,…1 vote -
AI Denoise creates DNG with random white squares in the picture
Bridge 14.0.4.222, Camera Raw 16.2.1, macOS 14.4.1
I open a Sony a6700 RAW FIle and use AI Denoise. The generated DNG Image has big white rectangles on it, sometimes with RGB-Patterns in it, sometimes lightly transparent or with a purple hue. When i view the image with macOS Preview, everything is fine, no rectangles, but when i open it with Bridge or Photoshop, there are those rectangles...
I expect a denoised image, not one with those rectangles.1 vote -
Keyword Panel keeps Jumping to last word in Keyword list
Bridge 2024 ver 14.0.4.222. When I use File Info to add info to images, upon closing File Info, my list of Keywords automatically scrolls to the very last Keyword in the list thus necessitating scrolling back up the list to the set of Keywords I was was working with. Really annoying.

Bridge keeps regenerating cached thumbnails
The later versions of Bridge keeps regenerating thumbnails every time the Bridge app window gets into focus. It has been like this for a while (used to be OK, not quite sure when this error was introduced). I have been hoping this would be fixed, but no luck so far.
Here is a repeatable sequence that will show this problem:
1) Select a smart collection in Bridge (workspace Filmstrip used)
In my case the collection targets a folder with 13 sub-folders (looking for files with one or more stars) holding the following file types:.acr: 6 files
.CR2: 6274 files…2 votes -
Generate Monitor-Size Previews: Wrong size generated
Bridge will usually generate previews with the wrong size when "Generate Monitor-Size Previews" has been enabled (checked). I would guess that this bug has been present for a while.
The setting can be found here: Preferences -> Advanced -> Generate Monitor-Size Previews
On my system (see below), I have a monitor with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. When "Generate Monitor-Size Previews" is not checked, Bridge generates preview files with a pixel width of 2048 pixels in this cache folder (2048 seems to be the default size):
C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge\Cache\v36\1024...
Then, when checking "Generate Monitor-Size Previews", I see preview files with…

Labels & rating
Updated Bridge to v. 14.0.4.222
Selected 180 images, appended metadata - at least that worked
Added keywords, at least 10 images did not have keywords added, needed to rerun keywords
Could not add star rating or label to images either when selected individually or single; in essentials, filmstrip or light table view; or when right clicking image, icon or label ddl.
Closed and opened Bridge 4 times including after rechecking for updates and opening via CC Desktop.
No other apps open in the background on the desktop.3 votes -

Extremely high RAM usage
After recent updates, I've noticed extremely high RAM usage while using Camera Raw to edit photos on Bridge while using my MacBook Pro M1. Even if I'm only opening a few photos (under 1GB total file size), it'll quickly max out my RAM and use the swap file, and the app specific RAM usage typically goes above 15GB. This also causes the entire program to crash. I have not noticed this issue while using my older Intel MacBook Pro.
I'm using a MacBook Pro 13 M1 with 16gb RAM running MacOS 14.3. I'm on the latest version of Bridge and…

After receiving an error that too many tabs are open I began looking for a menu item to close all tabs.
The problem is they are called panels in the app not tabs. The names should match. What would really be nice is a button in the error dialog that literally says close all panels. At a minimum there should be a menu item - maybe under Window or View - to close all content panels.
