1. Bridge won't recognise DNG files recently imported

   As per below png, this just started today. Still able to open files from its location into Camera Raw, just not via Bridge.
   Files from previous sessions are still opening in Bridge.
   Just updated to latest version with no change. Still won't work.
   I notice there have been quite a few posts about this over the years, without one single working answer to this problem!!

2. Bridge 12.0.2 cannot read avif files properly

   Bridge should be able to read file type .avif properly. Windows Explorer can read them without any problems.

3. Bridge 2021 Crashes When Entering Full Screen Mode

   When I press 'Spacebar' to view an image in Full Screen Mode, Bridge completely crashes. Interestingly, upon restarting the program, a crash error dialog box does not appear and Bridge opens to the folder I first opened the program in, not the last one. When opening audio and video files, Bridge didn't even try opening the file in Full Screen Mode. It was like I didn't press 'Spacebar.' It only tries entering Full Screen Mode with images, but it crashes when it attempts to do so. I hoped updating to v12.0.2 would fix it, but it didn't. Running Windows 10 Home, 8GB RAM, Intel Core i5, 64-bit. Thank you for your help.

4. One drive cloud folder not opening on bridge (Macbook Pro with M1 pro chip)

   I recently just bought a new Macbook pro with the M1 pro chip and downloaded bridge to access my one drive folder, but its not opening.

   I am not sure if this is a glitch or just the M1 pro chip isn't compatible with Bridge 12.0, which is weird because when I was downloading bridge it said it was compatible.

5. Batch Rename Messed Up File Extensions

   I just experienced a situation where Bridge messed up some, but not all, file extensions during a batch rename. It's similar to some other threads I found, but different enough that I thought I'd start a new one.

   I have a folder with about 175 items. There are CR2 and JPEG files from two cameras, and HEIC files from an iPhone. When I did the batch rename, several, but nowhere near all, of the CR2 files, and a couple of JPEGs, got assigned the HEIC file extension. And some of the HEIC files were given the CR2 extension. There seems to be no rhyme or reason. As you can see from one of the screenshots, consecutive RAW files were given different extensions. My rename setup did not involve altering the extension at all. On top of all of that, about 8 files did not get renamed at all.

   Now, I can't undo the batch rename, and will have to take a great deal of time going through and fixing them.

6. Photo Downloader "device is not connected or is busy" when deleting from iPhone

   Each time I try to download and delete images from my iPhone using the "Advanced Dialog," it downloads the images but then reports "Device is not connected or is busy" when trying to delete them.

   I believe the issue is that the downloader is still trying to read from the device in order to populate the thumbnails in the advanced dialog. If I wait for the dialog to populate all of the thumbnails, the error does not occur. However, on a device with 1000s of images, it can take a very long time to populate the thumbnails.

   The error does not occur when using the standard dialog, but that dialog forces user to download all images (i.e. no option for selective downloads).

7. Photo Downloader Order Reversed

   Photo downloader USED TO show files in the order shot. That is, oldest first, then next, etc. So when renaming and numbering you'd get them numerical as oldest as lowest number, newest as higher number.

   Not anymore. Now it shows newest first, so when you rename/renumber you get newest as the lowest number, oldest as the highest number. Please go back to the old way.

9. Batch rename works incorrectly if there is a dot '.' in the new filename

   Heads Up: To avoid this error don't define new filenames that contain a dot.

   In Bridge Batch Rename, if I choose to use a new filename that has a dot in it (e.g. name1.name2_unique-identifier) then the RAW files lose their extension and the JPEG files are named differently, see typical results below:

   For the JPG's: name1.JPG, name1(1).JPG, name1(2).JPG etc.
   For the ARW's: name1.name2_unique-identifier etc. i.e. NO ARW extension.

   This destroys the association between out of camera RAW and JPG.

   REMEDY: With a bit of care the batch rename can be used again (once for the RAW and once for the JPG) to alter the naming, restore the .ARW to (just) the RAW files and restore the association by using the EXIF info. But it's fiddly.

   Heads Up: To avoid this error don't define new filenames that contain a dot.

10. Unable to open Bridge

    I purchased a new MacBook Pro running macOS Monterey and have migrated my files and Creative Cloud and I cannot open Bridge. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Bridge several times. I have deleted preferences. I have allowed read write preferences for all users and none of these solutions from the forums has worked.

11. Bridge downloads double images from single SD card

    I have a Sony a92 with two ScanDisk SD Extreme Pro cards installed. When I select my camera to download the images via a USB type C cable to my Win10 PC; Bridge shows two copies of each image with a common .ARW image name in the preview window. When the download is completed each of the duplicate images now appears in the new days file folder with a comon image name plus a second image with the same root name with a "-1" appended.

    FWIW: This started with one of the updates within the past six months to one year time frame. It was simply annoying at first and I would go to tge extra work of going through each new folder and delete the duplicates.

    I figured that someone at Adobe would certainly have found this problem during Beta Testing; but, NO, IT'S STILL DOING IT!!!! Please fix it!

13. hard crash (Bridge 12.0.2.252) converting images from NEF to JPG (Adobe Std) in Camera Raw 14.3

    when I open a folder in bridge, select raw (NEF) camera images, open them in Camera Raw, select all, select Adobe Standard color profile, and try to convert them to JPG, (Quality 12, same HDD) both Bridge and Camera Raw crash (silent exit) after about 100 images (seems to be able to do more like 1000 before crashing if Camera Raw stays in foreground - based on ~5 crashes and ~4600 images). 14. Image Quality doesn't work in the WorkFlow - Image size is the same regardless

    When I run a workflow to resize and then reformat an image it doesn't make a difference whether I specify Image quality of Low or maximum. The file size remains the same regardless.

15. Adobe Bridge Version 12.0.0.234 has rotation image bug in Windows 10

    Hello, I just updated to the latest version of Adobe Bridge Version 12.0.0.234 (for Windows 10). While using I just discovered that this latest version has a rotation image bug.

    While in Adobe Bridge, images are rotated when pressing Control+ Left or Right Bracket. The images appear rotated in Bridge. When the same images are now double-clicked and opened in the latest version of Photoshop version 23.0.0 (for Windows 10), the images are not rotated. This problem did not exist in the previous version of Bridge. Please resolve ASAP. Neil

    Unable to RESET Batch Rename DEFAULT Preset.
    Batch Rename window shows "DEFAULT (modified)."
    I am unable to RESET to original DEFAULT.

18. Batch Rename Doesn't Work (ver 12.0.1.246)

    None of the options for Batch Rename are operational: There are no presets to choose from and New Filename options are not functional--stuck on Current Filename / Name / Original Case; next choice is Text--no choice. You can remove Current Filename and begin with Text--still no choice. Completely dysfunctional.

19. We need a true save-workspace option

    While it is convenient to save Workspace, I often cycle through multiple projects, each of which have their own set of image assets at different locations on my system.

    I find Favourites awkward to use – for one, I can't delete an existing Favourite which points to a location that no longer exists on my system. These "ghost favourites" remain forever, as far as I can tell.

    I would like to be able to save a whole Project workspace – with its own "back" button, recent files, etc., independent of other projects. So, if I am working on project A, I can call that up and everything is there as I left it last time.

    As it is now, I have to go through the onerous process of finding the location, usually with the help of the Mac finder, which is better, and then dragging that folder to Bridge to get going where I left off.

    It's sort of hard to explain, but imagine you are working on 20 projects. Wouldn't it be great to have each project self-contained? So, everything is at hand? The closest analogy would be CC Libraries, but for Bridge.

    This would be a real improvement.
