Renaming same raw+jpeg files names files in sequence #1,2,3 ... not 1,1,2,2,3,3...
When renaming Raw+Jpeg files, Bridge gives them sequential sequence numbers, not the same sequence number i.e. Filename001.raw Filename002.jpg NOT "Filename001.raw" and "Filename001.jpg"

Photo Downloader Order Reversed
Photo downloader USED TO show files in the order shot. That is, oldest first, then next, etc. So when renaming and numbering you'd get them numerical as oldest as lowest number, newest as higher number.
Not anymore. Now it shows newest first, so when you rename/renumber you get newest as the lowest number, oldest as the highest number. Please go back to the old way.

Batch Rename Milliseconds 000 After Editing Files in ACR
When trying to batch rename files that have ACR settings in a .XMP sidecar file, the batch rename always puts "000" for the Milliseconds field instead of reading the original timestamp. When I delete or rename the .XMP files to not match and then do the batch rename, it works, but then I'd loose the metadata.

Batch rename not always correctly parsing milliseconds from .nef files
Version: 10.0.2.131
.NEF with Date Created in File Info: 2020-01-24 16:08:56.6 -06:00
gets parsed to: 20200124160856000 - i.e. drops the ms.
Then, other files (taken during the same second) can conflict due to the same bug, creating more naming problems (i.e. same file name with (1) appended).
This is a new bug since 2020-01-19
Windows 7
Expected result: 20200124160856600
Actual result: 20200124160856000
Level of bug: Important (as long as it gets fixed relatively soon)6 votes -
Batch Rename Freezes Does Not Work
Batch Rename Freezes and program will not respond. This happened today with Version 13.0.4 so I checked for updates and found Version 14.0.0 was available so downloaded it but had same issue. A few days ago I started getting a popup about Adobe Acrobat: Acrobat quit unexpectedly. Click 'Learn more' for possible fixes. However, Acrobat did not quit unexpectedly, I had just closed an Acrobat Document. This has been going on for about a week. Wondering if there is any relation to this and Batch Rename not working. I have used Batch Rename previously in Version 13.0.4 before with no…

Bridge Batch Rename Bug
The batch rename function is failing to rename any files that have been previewed in Bridge.
So when trying to batch rename all the files in a given folder, the first one tends to fail as it's auto started a preview, and now Windows 10 is considering that file to be in use / protected from having changes made to it.
Infact, I can't manually rename the file in Windows either, until I shut bridge down to releasse it from that protection, allowing for changes to be made to the file.
It's a real annoyance as I'm doing batch renames…4 votes -
Batch rename skips pictures
Starting with the update before the current one, batch rename will randomly skip files in the batch.
On the previous update it was dropping the last photo in the batch. I originally thought that I was just being careless making my selections.
In the latest version, (Rev. 11.0.1.109) it will drop several out of a batch. They will not be sequential. Just several random shots.4 votes -

Batch rename hangs
When there're some files which may be given same name after renaming, Bridge will takes serial number such as (2), (3), ...and more.
But today's version, Bridge hangs and the files are left with temporal names.4 votes -
Serious batch error: When renaming files with batch rename, it skips files
When renaming a group of files with batch rename, it skips a bunch of files, not just xmp files. This leads to serious data chaos. Already tried resetting the preferences, still experiencing the same problem!

Can't type numbers while batch renaming
(on Windows) Selecting few files -> Tools -> Batch rename
In New Filenames section can't write any numbers - they change the star rating and label of the selected files below the window.
In the old Bridge this was working fine, and I would like to avoid having to press Ctrl while normally changing the rating/label.
ALSO: While batch renaming in the Preview section at the bottom, no special characters are displaying (including the allowed ones, like for example &)

Batch Name doesn't work since 2022
The Batch Rename function does not work on Bridge 2024, also didn't work on 2023.
I keep going back to Bridge 2022 when it did work. (kinda)
Sometimes Br '22 gets stuck if I'm renaming hundreds or thousands of files. I have to rename them in parts so I can rename all the files.

Batch Rename in Milliseconds Bug in v2024 (14.0.0.102)
Mac Ventura 13.7
When batch renaming using the Date/Time > Date Created > Milliseconds metadata on JPEG or NEF files containing millisecond metadata, the value is ignored and 000 is incorrectly used instead.
I was able to get this to work once, but it now no longer works on the same files after numerous quit/restart of bridge or computer reboots.
In the end, I had to write a javascript batch rename to accomplish the task:
There are already two similar bug reports at this site for this long standing issue that goes back many versions:

After updating Bridge today I can no longer rename a file by copying and pasting.
After updating Bridge today I can no longer rename a file by copying and pasting. If you highlight the file name by clicking on it and then try copying and pasting a new name, the highlight disappears and you are lift with original name. Am using Windows 11 Pro which is up to date, as of 23/02/2024.
