Adobe Bridge 2020 is UNUSABLE MESS. 100% previews (spacebar) unusable
To the manager of this project. Please make everyone a favour and resign. Let someone else take over this project. Scratch last 2 years of coding and build on last stable working version from 2018.
I have made a mistake of installing Bridge 2020 after 2019 fiasco. I thought that maybe maybe after another year this version would be usable.
I could not believe my eyes - It is actually even worse!
100% preview is not working - changin photos (cursor) - back and forth - sometimes 100% preview is shows, sometimes some soft version in lower resolution. This applies to 2 files. Keep changing between them you get randomly soft and sharp version.
I worked as software engineer for 15 year. Never saw such incompetence.

I made the mistake of "upgrading" (gross misuse of the word) to Bridge 2020. What a frustrating disappointment, and made the mistake of overriding the 2018 version. Soft previews, ACR is a scrambled mess, flickering thumbnails, and the list goes on. As a pro photographer and journalist that depends on operational efficiency to hit deadlines, I'm flippn' frustrated. Read all the forums regarding these issues and confirmed all issues. And we all pay $600/year for this? Somebody help...please!

Just installed Bridge CC 2020 tonight (Mac) because 2018 expired recently (I skipped 2019).
First huge issue: Dragging an image from the preview area into a folder on the left results in a warning that the folder already exists! You cannot drag an image INTO a folder. And if you try and auto-resolve, the file name is lost and takes on the name of the folder it thinks it is replacing. Then you have to rename it and put it in the folder while viewing in the Finder instead.
XnViewMP (free) is probably going to be my default DAM now...

Agreed. Please stop updating until you make ALL of it work. As with all other apps you fix one thing and break 10 more. Here's my latest update Version is 10.0.2.131 rendering thumbnails.

Who's the "scientist" that signed this bug as solved? It's not. It is still slow as hell and possibly worse than the 2019 version.
I'm running a ryzen 3700+ on a nvme drive with a rtx 2080 and 32 gb of ram and there are moments where I'm stuck watin 10+ senconds because bridge freeses when previewing 200 raw files (of those only 25 on screen).
Also it rebuilds the whole cache anytime I shitch back from photoshop. better get a fix. I've already dumped premiere wont take much to dump this either.

I have all updated versions of bridge and raw. When I open camera raw through bridge, it opens, but all I see is a white screen when I click to begin work bridge closes.

Thumbnails are slow to load or not loading at all for Canon RAW files. I just see gray flickering boxes. The option to return to 2018 has been removed in Creative Cloud so cant go back to what was working. I deleted both 2019 & 2020 and reinstalled (did not import settings) and the problem still exists. Purging cache doesn't work either.

Hi Maciek,
As discussed, the issue is not reproducible at your end.
Others, if you still facing the issue, please let us know..

Also, Bridge performance with each version is getting worse and worse. Indeed, in the latest versions it becomes either impossible to work (in 2020), or before starting work, you have to wait 20-40 minutes before the bridge makes a preview (2019).
I have a question. When will the bridge begin to work faster with the read / write file system? When will Bridge learn not to generate a preview, but to read it from a file file?

Sooooo Agree! 2020 still have Batch Rename broken as well... I'm back to using 2018 as yes, 2019 was broken as well.
