Much as I wanted to provide information on this post the reporting tool has added yet another post for today with this subject 01-07-21. Even with the latest update there seems apparently little or no effort from Adobe to fix what is definately an Adobe problem. This problem has been reported to Adobe ever since the release of the canon Eos R5 and similar cameras that use CFexpress cards.
MY info
Adobe bridge v 11.1.0.175
unable to import from sandisk reader CFexpress card reader
Op system Mac 10.15.7 with all updates
expected - card should be recognised by adobe bridge in get photos from camera or import from device downloader.Neither downloader will recognise CFexpress cards. Reader and card IS recognised in Mac finder and downloader works and recognises CFexpress cards in ON1 v 2021.5
This is an Adobe problem please fix it as it has been reported many times and adobe bridge is now effectively useless for any cameras that use the CFexpress card format, including canon R5, new R3, Sony cameras and Nikon. This can't be good for the Adobe brand if you can't recognise your own problem and fix it. ~ frustrated Adobe bridge user. -

Hello, this is a generic issue, same on my MacBook Pro 2019 with Bridge 11.0.1.109.
CF Express cards Type "B" will be recognized as harddrives and not interchangeable media (by design), so the Photo downloader doesn't recognize them, even though they show up in the Finder (MacOS Big Sur 11.2.3.). Lots of reports on the Internet on this one by now, please address this issue, as more and more cameras support these media devices. -
