1. Please Undo Some "Improvements" to Bridge 2019

   1) Where's my true black background? For as long as I've worked with Adobe products I've kept my workspace backgrounds as close to black as possible. Bridge 2018 accommodated me. Bridge 2019 does not: nearest I can get to black is an insipid and annoyingly bright neutral gray. Please restore my option to work against true black.

   2) Please make star ratings optional. I do not use star ratings and when stars were much smaller I could ignore them. Now they take up a good chunk of real estate beneath my image, making information I do choose to show hard or impossible to read without blowing up preview size to counterproductive levels. Just give me a toggle to make the stars disappear altogether, please.

   Hi,

   This feature has been released in Bridge v10.0. You can update Bridge to see this feature.

   At the bottom of the Content Pane, there is an option to hide Tiles and ‘Show Thumbnails only’. If tiles are hidden, the image backdrop can be changed to pure black from Edit→Preferences→Interface→Image backdrop.

2. Reduce space wasting in Bridge 2019 UI

   Since Bridge 2019, the whole UI is "larger" and needs more space. There is more space between the items in the folder list, the keyword list, and the favorites items. Thus, only half of the list fits to the same space as before.
   Also the space between thumbnails in the grid view was enlarged.

   Please enable an option as für the "Text Size" that let the user bring up more content in a compacter manner.

   Dear Bridge users,

   As one of the top voted features, this is actively under development. We plan to provide option to hide the tiles so that you can see larger thumbnails and zoom out if you need to see more assets in Content View. While 9.1 (released) has some improvements, the upcoming Bridge release this year end will have significant improvements in this area. As far as the folder view and Keywords is concerned, we hope to address that next year.

   Meanwhile, some of you may benefit from the existing “View Menu→Show Thumbnails Only” to see more assets in Content View.

3. Collection XML file locations

   Please make it possible to store the collection xml files on the same drive as the actual images, in the same way that I can set the cache location. If you did that, then I could just have an external SSD with my photographic archive, bridge cache and collection files all in one place and I'd be able to plug that SSD into my laptop or desktop and have everything available.

   In fact, why not make an option to have ALL bridge settings associated with an image saved to the same drive on which the images reside - I'm thinking about labels and ratings, core metadata, collections etc etc.

4. Keyword filtering results that contains ALL keywords selected rather than ANY Keyword selected.

   Hello,

   This might already exists since it seems like such an obvious feature (also appears in other Adobe products e.g Lightroom) but it is the ability to filter files by multiple keywords with the results only showing result that contain all the keywords selected not just if they contain any of the selected keywords.

   For example I have photos of different athletic events eg track; high jump; triple jump; discus etc. these also have the keywords for the country they represent such as USA; GBR; BRA; RUS.

   What happens right now when I select the keywords "High jump" and "GBR" I get all High jump photos not just the ones that also contain GBR. So is it possible to add the feature to change the filter result to contain all the selected keywords rather than any of the keywords?

   I am aware you can use the search function to search "If all criteria match" however you can't use the filter pane to select the keywords you need to retype them into the search box.

   My thought was a keyword search pane which displays all the keywords the same way as the keyword pane (hierarchical) but this time to perform a multi keyword search. So in the future I can tick the keywords "High jump" and "GBR" and only get High Jump photos with British athletes. Perhaps using the keyword pane but having an option at the top if you want to apply the keywords below or search.

5. Search

   The searching process is slow and not accurate. Windows searches way faster and better but i prefer to work inside the app.

6. Fix this ugly part of the UI

   Why the switch to using text for this part of the UI? Are the devs no longer capable of making icons? It’s an ugly mess right now, can you please make it more consistent.

7. Thumbnail Boxes

   The darker boxes around each and every thumbnail image, omg, get rid of those or at least make it optional. Its just awful. I am told on the forum "The dark grey boxes around assets in content panel is designed for better view of assets." Thats a hell of a thing to assume, it makes me want to scratch my eyes out.    Hi,

   This feature has been released in Bridge v10.0.

   In the Content Panel, there is a check box “Show Tiles” which can be unchecked to remove the Thumbnail boxes.

8. Allow AND link for keywords in the filter panel

   I want to use keywords to find specific images fast and regularly, so using the find dialog and filling out all dropdowns is too slow. I also have a lot of keywords and often want to search for different combinations, so using a smart collection does not help. I want to narrow down my selection of images and therefore need an option to use logical AND when selecting multiple keywords.

   I personally never need the default OR link and don't care about where this option will be presented. Possible are the panel menu at the top right of the panel, a button at the bottom of the panel (next to keep filter and clear filter), or global preferences dialog.

10. I have Adobe CS6 which I have been using to edit my photos. I made a mistake of buying a CoolPix P1000 the RAW file has been changed to NRW

    Is there an update for Photoshop CS6 that I can install to enable that program to open NRW files? Or maybe there is an update to Bridge CS6?

11. IPTC Core data

    Would like to copy IPTC Core data from a .JPG file to a raw file. I have thousands of annotated JPEGs with raw files of the same name. Lightroom only shows IPTC data in the raw (sidecar) files.

12. Ability to constrain both height and width + add sharpening: EXPORT

    The added Export Panel in Bridge 2020 (10.0.0.124) is great!
    And it is nice to be able to apply a metadata template!

    However, it may lack a couple of features. This is in addition to the selection of color space requested here: "Choose color space for EXPORT":

    Additional features requested:

13. Smart Collection Indexing

    Smart Collections can take a considerable time to index/re-index so what I'd like to see is a Progress Bar [ideally with an estimated time to complete] and a Message pop-up when the indexing has completed. Just to be greedy I'd also like to index more than 1 smart collection at a time. So an option like "Re-index all Smart Collections" would be really useful.

14. Disable Thumbnail and Preview Generation, and Caching

    Thumbnails and previews are agonizingly slow to generate. Regardless of what settings I change, they take way too long to load, and often times don't load at all. Cache size, cache file size limit, preview quality, etc, none of them are effective, especially for videos since some cache settings don't apply to them. I would like the ability to apply keywords to files quickly. In my case, and I'm sure often enough for others, the thumbnails and previews are excess information. Generating them takes too long to make the workflow possible at all. Please consider. Thank you.

    Dear Bridge Users,

    Have you tried setting the following Preferences?
    Edit Menu→Preferences→Thumbnails→Do Not Process files larger than 1000 MB. Change this to 1 MB.

    Also, on the right hand side of the folder navigation bar on top, drop down next to the triangle (Option for thumbnail quality and previews) and select “Prefer Embedded (faster)”. Screenshot attached.

15. Preview with camera setting

    Can I please get a switch so that I can preview the RAW files in the camera settings and not the Bridge defaults? I would like to see my black and white files in black and white i preview. Veliva should come up as velvia. I know the RAW files have a camera setting information and I have seen other RAW converters do it so I know it is possible.

16. Allow empty cells/fields in PDF-Output module!

    Sorting of pictures in PDF-Output via cells works fine.
    But it would be much better if empty cells would be allowed!
    Sometimes in a 3x2 sheet there are 5 pictures and the next page contains another sequence …

17. Show filesize of folders too

    There seems to be no way to see the size of a folder from within Bridge. The only way seems to be to exit Bridge and use File Explorer (right-click>properties), which is obviously far from an ideal workflow. (Or else double click a folder and hit ctrl-A....but this becomes prohibitively time-consuming for folders with many subfolders)

    Bridge's inability to show how much space a folder and its contents take up seems a strange oversight. If routinely scanning and calculating the filesize of folders would take a lot of extra CPU/SSD resources, then it could be an opt-in feature in the settings. Or it could be integrated into the preview thumb cache generation somehow (save a folder's filesize information when saving its thumb cache)

    At the very least, we should see a folder's size in its metadata panel once we click on it. But optimally, it'd be really helpful to to see the size of folders underneath each folder, just as it is currently for files.

19. Stop re-adding columns closed by the user in list view

    Just... stop.

    I really have no idea what else to say. When I go through the trouble of right-clicking on a column (Rating, for example), I DON'T WANT TO SEE IT AGAIN. Why does Bridge keep re-adding these columns every time I change views or open the app?

20. 画像整理をしやすいようにフォルダパネルを複数表示できるようにしてほしいです。

    フォルダパネルを使って画像整理をするときにBridgeを複数起動して行うのですが、相互に重なり合って操作が煩雑になるため、一つのBridgeで複数のフォルダパネルを表示できるようにしてほしいです。さもなければ、複数起動したBridgeをきれいに並べて表示する機能（ボタン）がほしいです。

    関連した項目として、『Bridgeを狭いウインドウで使用するとき』にはメニューの文字が邪魔をして『Bridgeの移動が困難』です。かろうじて左端のわずかな箇所を利用して移動させることは可能ですが、気づくのに時間がかかりました。
