v13.0.1.583 1. defaults to template folder. Will not keep my template.
Defaults to template folder. Will not keep my custom metadata panel. I have to click on the drop down, select my metadata, then select 'keep original metadata but append...' then select OK - for EVERY image. If I go back to this later, it has defaulted to the template folder again. How can I make it default to my metadata?

metadata is not taken from cr2 file
I add metadata via Bridge (e.g. description/keywords) to a CR2 file, resync the folder into Lightroom, so that metadata should also be inserted into Lightroom. Now when I write new files from Lightroom, the metadata is not sent along.
I would also use the Bridge Photoshop image processor, but it doesn't offer the option to resize the image by specifying, for example, only the long side.

Métadonnées
Plus de raccourcis 'CTRL enter" pour valider. Les mots clés et les métadonnées restent dans la zone de saisie, qui ne se rafraichit pas. Gros problème pour savoir ce qui est renseigné.

Metadata fields fail.
-name of the field not showing (it's description, keywords and title on the sample image).
-the size of the space for the names is oversized and it is fixed, can not be reduced.
-copy-paste in these fields has some issues, it randomly puts previously copied text to a new loaded image

Metadata fails to populate (IPTC Core)
This isn't an "idea," it is something that is broke. I've spend several hours on two different days with chat support, and no one can figure out what is wrong. I have multiple images that I apply metadata templates - actually thousands of images in a wildlife photography application. I've been doing so for many years now. This recently quit working on all images that have been processed (RAW images). If there is an XMP file containing processing instructions, when I apply the information from a metadata template, or enter the information manually, when I leave the images nothing has…

Metadata File Properties: Application field Displays out of date information
The <Application> field in <File Properties> displays out of date information. If I update a file using PhotoShop Elements 2021 (PSE), the <File Info> field in PSE correctly shows that PSE updated the data. However the equivalent field in Bridge 2022 shows the previous application (ie, my camera). Both ACDSee and IrfanView correctly show that PSE updated the file. I use this field to recall what files have been updated and is therefore important. I may well continue with ACDSee instead.

Image in Bridge is displaying 300ppi, in Photoshop it is 96ppi
I have a PNG that is in Photoshop at 96ppi. When viewing it in bridge, the metadata states it is 300ppi.

Unable to apply edits to metadata sometimes
Intermittent, unpredictable inability to add or apply edits to metadata fields such as IPTC Core using Adobe Bridge 12.0.2 and preceding 12.0.1.246 release. This is particularly unacceptable when editing metadata of multiple selected images. Worse yet, there is no error message generated! You must check file by file, metadata field by field, to see if the edit was applied. This seems to persist in certain image files but not others.
When only one file has metadata added or edited metadata, clicking the lower right corner “Apply” icon results in either:
1. the added or edited metadata disappear from the field…2 votes -
Text size changes when editing Description
When I edit text in the metadata panel (set to the biggest setting in preferences), the font is replaced by a slightly smaller one, making me hunt for the correct location to place the cursor. Bridge 12.0.0.234
Windows 10, I have a 5120x1440 screen while my laptop 4K monitor is closed.
Behaviour is similar if the User interface scaling is at 100% or Auto.1 vote -
Hi, I would like to be able to view the length of a video time from within the metadata or anywhere it can be displayed.
Hi, I would like to be able to view the length of a video time duration from within the metadata or anywhere it can be displayed.
This can be done in Windows 'File Explorer', DigiKam' and other apps. It would be ideal to view it in Bridge.

Unable to edit/save metdata template when custom metadata view.xml present
Adobe Bridge CC 2021 11.0.0.83
macOS 11.01 (also macOS 10.14 and 10.15)Reporting this as I cannot find any documentation that indicates this should not work.
If I add a custom Metadata Extension view.xml that contains any of the following three Dublin Core properties I am unable to edit and save a metadata template.
name="dc:title"
name="dc:description"
name="dc:creator"if data is already present in any of these when editing the template from the Tools menu an error dialog pops up reporting "The operation could not be completed" for the following actions:

Date of Change not correct
The date of Change in the Metadata panel of Bridge 2021 (Mac OS 10.14.6) is not correct (yesterday, but it was 2 years ago...). The file info shows the correct date (see screenshot). I worked with this folder at this timestamp, but not with all files. So maybe this is the date, where the cache file was created (?).

missing cursor
Since updating Bridge on my Imac, the text cursor has disappeared when editing the metadata panel? I can still enter data but have to guess where the text is going!

Tools / Metadata / complete list I've created not showing so I can not edit or or add metadata to photos from templates
Tools / Metadata / complete list I've created not showing so I can not edit or or add metadata to photos from templates
The program acts like there is a finite number of metadata templates you can show, currently it gets to about S on my lists then jumps to A. If your go backwards is still skips Z to S

Meta data fields don't expand
Windows for meta data entries do not expand correctly in version 10.1 (July 2020 update). Have lots of data to copy and paste and can't see to type except when clicking the pencil icon. Cursor in the field should expand the area like in older versions. Have to keep clicking the pencil over and over to add or edit data.

date created
There is an error in METADATA panel, DATE CREATED line that appears for all my video files rendered in Premiere Pro and After Effects. No matter what codec or container they are rendered to - the date created is set to five days in advance. For example - I have created a file today (2020-07-28), but Bridge is trying to convince me I have rendered it on August 2nd, which will be next Saturday.
I am a Windows user, and all my other software, including Windows File Properties tab show correct creation date, only the bridge fails to recognize it.…1 vote -
Metadata Placard doesn't display shutter speed
When your ISO is 50, the shutter speed is partially hidden in the metadata placard (I can see 1/1..., but don't know if this is 1/1000 or 1/1600). When your ISO is 1600, the placard expands to include the longer ISO setting and the shutter speed is revealed. This is on a Window 10 computer, 4k monitor, tried all sorts of settings. Doesn't anyone at Adobe shoot with ISO 50 anymore :>)
