Bridge 10.1.1.166 and PS 22.0 not talking nice
Installed new updates, shut down machine after completion, rebooted Win10 pro, opened Bridge to resume work. Opened a file in camera raw. finished preliminary edits, instructed Bridge to open in PS 22.0.
PS never opened the file. Tried to open from Bridge using 'Open With' command. Same result - locked-up app. Cannot close app window with X command. Had to close with task manager, instead. Opening the same file directly from HD folder worked fine.

Delete Bridge in CC and reinstall Brideg again. additionally you can delete Camera Raw or overinstall the camera RAW exe, which can be downloaded from
https://helpx.adobe.com/de/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-in-installer.html
It is recommended to restart your machine after each action -

Possible OS corruption issue behind the problem described in my initial post. Delay in responding to Adobe support due to having to run a deep scan of the main HD for issues. That process took more than 48 hours to complete. Scan results revealed the HD had a bad block which has been flagged. We continue to monitor this machine but have not yet tried to replicate the issue experienced with Bridge and PS. If we do, we'll let you know.
