File name corruption
I have a number of files with a "?" as a placeholder until I determine the genus and species of my photo's subject. The latin name is enclosed in parenthesis, so the filename temporarily includes the character string "(?)". When I drag files from Bridge's window to another folder inside Bridge or select "Move to" from the pop-up after right-clicking on the file's thumbnail, the filenames at the destination are truncated at the left parentheses. "Filename (?).psd" becomes "Filename (" with no extension. If there are files with the same name but different extensions, such as "Filename (?).jpg", Bridge wants to truncate the subsequent filenames and crates a conflict. Selecting "Replace" leaves only one file. Selecting "Auto Resolve" results in filenames of "Filename (" and "Filename ( (!)".

I cannot believe that an app can irreversibly truncate the names of files in seemingly simple operations, i.e move to new location. With no recourse for recovery! And that after two years this is still a bug in Bridge. It never occurred to me that Adobe Bridge would impose naming restrictions on its users. I will be looking for alternatives.

I have a problem where Windows Explorer shows correct filename details, e.g. Ponsonby Bridge #001.cr2, BUT Bridge 11.0.1.109 displays it's own version of my files, e.g. PAE5A9~1.DNG.
I am NOT very happy to say the least and suggest that you should be refunding the money that I have paid for YOUR computer programme that is NOT-FIT-FOR-PURPOSE ! ! ! ! ! ! !
