Bridge slow, not reacting, bad performance since update
Bridge 11.0.0.83 is slow, takes a long time to show thumbnails that are already in cache. Trying to open and view another folder makes bridge slow to the point that it's not responding.
Not only the 100% previews, also embedded preview size.
Before it was much better. A love Vridge but it needs to work better again.
Win 10 64 bit.

Having similar issues since updating bridge to 11.1.1 Its taking up 90-100% of processor resource. I am running a i9-9900KF with 64GB DDR4 with a Nvidia RTX2060 Super, running off a 1TB WD M2 Windows 10 64. Please help this is affecting my workflow and I cant meet deadlines while images are taking 5 minutes to open each

Due to the slowness of BR 11, I use BR 9.1. Today I tried BR 11.0.1.109 again, as some CS updates and system updates (MacOs 10.15.7) have now taken place.
To my surprise, all folders now load quickly. The only exception: the desktop. Without further ado I cleared the desktop and then gradually brought all the elements back. The extreme sluggishness of scanning the desktop is caused by aliases on the desktop pointing to folders on the network whose devices are offline.
Therefore, BR 11.x should be changed in such a way that alias elements are ignored in the simplest case during the folder scan.

Hi,
Thanks for your feedback.
Could you try switching to the “High Quality / On Demand” preview generation and check if that helps you with improved performance on the operation. Thanks,

I am always having problems with Bridge whether earlier or 2021 which I thought would go away when I got 2021. It is very slow and continually says Adobe bridge not responding. Can you do something for me please

Same here. Bridge 11.0.0.83 is very slow because its Thumbnail and Preview processing takes almost 100% of CPU time!! Everything on your system slows to a CRAWL because Bridge 11.0.0.83 seems to be in a continuous loop of checking, recheck and generating its previews. It's horrible!

Also had to roll back to version 10 in order to use bridge.
Adobe - please provide a fix. -

I also tried Adobe suggestions, nothing works. Bridge takes 100% of CPU power, does something on disk all the time (what? not caching, I checked) and does something on GPU too (what???).

Here it is the same with Bridge 11 on iMac (late 2015, 4 Ghz I7, 32 GB RAM) with macOS 10.15.7 (Catalina).
Bridge 10.* has the same behavior.
There is an Adobe-Help-Page (https://helpx.adobe.com/de/bridge/kb/troubleshoot-errors-freezes-bridge.html#main_Troubleshooting_steps) but nothing seems to help.
I spend much time, to find a solution. The only one at this time is to use Bridge 9.1.* again. Are there any suggestions?
