Bridge CC 2019 open all files by default with AfterEffects
Since I have updated Bridge this morning, it's opening all my files (ai, eps, pdf, jpg, etc) by default with After Effects even the asigned rule "Open with" it's right. Nonsense.
Please install the latest update of Adobe After Effects and Adobe Bridge to resolve this issue

Same problem here. All files associations are correctly configured but indd, jpg, pdf, etc. files opens (or try to) in After Effects.

Anthony Aromando got it right- I rolled back AE update to 16.0 and now bridge seems to work correctly. It's annoying that we have to do this but it's the workaround that works for now.

Same problem. Files clicked in Bridge open in AE. Windows and Bridge files associations are correct. Files open correctly with Windows Explorer and right clicking "open with" in Bridge. Started happening around 4/2/2019. Working fine before that.

Same here, and when I open the intelligent collection it opens AE too! I've been annoyed by this bug for a long time!

Same here! At fist I thought: Well, let's restart the computer... but nothing changed. Every single file I double click on in Bridge tries to open in AE. WTF? Adobe, please HELP!

I think the Problem is with the After Effects update. I installed a earlier version of AE (16.0) and everything went back to normal (I think). So until Adobe fixes the AE update, you can give this a try

The day it started to happen only CameraRaw was uptodated, so probably that's the cause.

My Bridge insists on opening my InDesign with After Effects even though the File associations are correct and the Default "Open with" is InDesign. Same problem with Mp4s. These are the 2 I have discovered so far.
HELP! -

I'm having the same issue, reset permissions on OSX, Bridge, and a restart. I've even cleared out my Bridge settings twice.
