  3. Batch Renaming Pairs (Not working like it used to in Version 12.0)

In previous versions of Bridge version 11 (or older) if you have RAW+JPEG pairs, you can select only the RAW files and do a batch rename and Bridge will automatically rename the JPEG pair. Apparently, in version 12.0 this feature was either removed or is not working correctly. Just spent some time with an Adobe Rep and we just tried this in both Ver 11 and Ver 12 - This clearly works as it should in Ver 11, but in Ver 12 selecting the RAW file and doing a batch rename only renames the RAW file and will not rename…

  5. Extension Name Mash-Up

When mixed media files extension names are changed to the wrong media/format. I have MPV, DNG, NEF, JPG, HEIC, WAV files in one folder. I sort them chronologically. then I build a name protocol of three line elements to from YYYYMMDD-AA-BBB-XXXX. In the past, it left the extension name alone. Now many will hfe their extension switch to one of the other formats present in the folder.
.NEF BECOMES .MOV, .MOV BECOMES .NEF, DNG BECOMES MOV, .MOV BECOMES .WAV.

IT IS VERY TIME CONSUMING TO FIX THESE ERRORS. (CHECKING METADATA AND LIKELY FILE SIZE TO MANUALLY RENAME THE EXTENSION NAME.

  7. rename

Rename adds extra numbers and text. It seems to be a portion of the previous file name. v

Also looses the suffix, so when you batch rename and drop into Bridge, Bridge does not recognise the file type.

UPDATE: I've spoken to the photographer and apparently the images were retrieved from a corrupt card, another batch from someone else seem fine.

  8. Sequence Number with CR2 and JPG - Behaviour Changed

    Hi there,

I'm taking all my photos in CR2 format, and later I rename them with title, dash, flowed by a Sequence Number.

The CR2 and it's JPG preview are getting (as should) the same Sequence Number.

In order to Buch rename, I always used to select a bunch of files - say from 01-10. That will Select 20 files as each CR2 has it's JPG. After rename them all, everything was good. When I want to continue with the Bach, It would automatically suggest to start with the next Sequence Number which should be 11.

    But not now.

    Now…

  9. Truncates file names

When running an action to resize a .tif and convert it to .jpg filenames are truncated!

Example 29754.04-29763.37.tif is renamed to 29754.04-29763.jpg

I've been using photoshop for decades and have NEVER had this problem.
    Please fix asap

  12. batch rename is skipping xmp files when I rename raw files.

I have folders of raw files, some with xmp files with ACR settings and some without. When I run batch rename processes on the whole folder the .xmp files are not renamed, only the .NEF files, making my settings effectively disappear.

  13. File renaming error

I attempted to batch rename a group of images. New Bridge 2019 removed my labels and ratings, dumped some metadata and put in an Adobe Bridge Temp name to some of the files.
