Note tool
It would be of great benefit to have a note tool in Bridge so as to write notes about certain job or file specs. A metadata to a folder might work.

star rating ctrl
i can't rate my pictures with stars anymore (even labelling doesn't work)? What happened? i allready rebooted my computer, removed bridge and re-installed it, but... nothing happens when i want to rate a picture... (not with ctrl+number, nor by 'label', rate, ...)

Blue screen or freeze up when navigating through Bridge thumbnails. Using windows 10
I'm using windows 10, and Bridge in Documents in files presentation. When ever I try to navigate through the thumbnails I get a blue screen or more seldomly it freezes. I changed the graphic card G Force 720 to 1060 with no improvement. I tried to reset preferences no result. What do you suggest

Show file compression type in File Metadata
It would be very helpful to show the file compression of TIF JPG, etc. files in the metadata panel. It is not currently listed in the File Properties or any other metadata section.

Previous/next image with mouse scroll wheel in the Preview pane
It would be really comfortable to use the mouse wheel (or the trackpad scroll) to step back/forward in a photo collection, alternatively to the arrow keys on the keyboard, like in the Windows Photos app or in the old Google Picasa is.
My suggestion is: when the pointer is placed over the Preview pane, interpret a scroll up as "Previous image" and a scroll down as "Next image". Currently the mouse wheel does nothing.

Customizable infos below the Preview
I think it would be valuable to see, instead or beside the file name ("PHOTO 001.JPG"), the IPTC Caption/XMP Description as it were a caption to a painting above. I used Google Picasa in the past and loved to see the caption just below the image large view, where it was also editable.
More generally, I'd suggest that the area below the Preview (see attached screenshot) should be customizable exactly as the area below the Thumbinails in Content panel (by means of Preferences > Thumbinails). This way, every user will display which info he/she likes most, instead of having to…

Batch Metadata Add/Remove/Modify
Possibility to Add, Remove or Modify the Metada of a file or a list of file by batch (ex. with a CSV file or other). For me it's for PDF file.

Bridge sould be free to use no account required
i would like to see a light version of bridge so that i can share my projects folder to my manager and without and account. this way my clients or team members that are not designers can see thumbnails | rate | tag | sort | keyword | open in acrobat (AI, PSD, ID- layered). allowing them to manage content.

Alias / Shortcut in Workspaces folder
In all releases of Photoshop there is possibility to create Folder Alias (shortcut to other folder containing files) in Preferences Workspace folder:
C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2020\Adobe Photoshop 2020 Settings\WorkSpaces
the same works for .jsx scripts or any other format beeing avialable in Presets folder:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2020\Presets
Please do the same for Bridge workspaces:
C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge 2020\Workspaces
For now the alias (shortcut) is not seen by Bridge when running it.

double click on picture let open fullscreen picture instead of open Lightroom as option
If I double click on a picture in thumbnail mode Photoshop is openend with the picture.
It would be nice if I could change this behavior in the settings to do other things. One option I like would be to view the image in full-screen like it you push the space-button on keyboard.
How often I didn´t think about the fact that Bridge do something other than most other programs on this genre (like ACDSee) do and bam Photoshop is loading.. ;-)2 votes -

Extend the Stubby Label Bar
Is there a way to get the full Label bar back ? Bridge 2019 and 2020 have made it a stubby bar now, unless I'm missing something. I've added an image with Bridge 2018 on the left and 2020 on the right for comparison.

Show items from subfolders
When selecting items from sub-folders, it would be great if the filters didn't reset each time you update a directory. Would save a lot of time as each time you have to wait for each thumbnail to load instead of the filtered format you're after.

Synchronization of metadata
Hi, can you please create a way in Bridge to synchronize the metadata of AI files (EPS files, TIFF files) and JPGs? Like in Lightroom. This would speed up my workflow enormously. Now I'm forced to copy and paste the description of each file into the field of the other file, for example.

Wrap file name
In Bridge 8 I saw full name of file. Now is not possibility wrap or dont wrap filename. Better was wrap filename, and see full name, because i have numbers of design version on the end of filename.
