XMP in MOV not working randomly and without a identified cause
Bridge is unable to set/change XMP metadata in a list of MOV files that have the same source: some are writable, some others no, and the errors are very non-speaking. There is no way to know what can be done, or IF something could be done, changed, done better. What EXACTLY, and tecnhically (suppose you are speaking with Phil Harvey of exif-tool) does Bridge need to write and change XMP MOV metadata?

Also seeing this problem in Bridge 2020. Sometimes a .mov file will flag as unable to change/set XMP metadata. Purging the Cache for the file(s) flagging the error enables the metadata for them to be displayed and interacted with again. I have scaled down testing to interact with 7 .mov files between 200MB - 800MB each [ @PECoutejoie : "do not process files larger than" is set to 1000MB but have also set this to 2000MB and noticed no change in behaviour ]

I'm encountering a similar issue with MOV files randomly not saving metadata I add (as in, some MOV files will take it, and some MOV files never will). There is no error message. If I transcode the videos to MP4, I can add metadata without issue.

Hello, what is the file size of the files that you cannot write into?
In preferences, check the value set in "do not process files larger than"
