Extremely Slow performance on Network Drives
I am running Bridge 13.0.3.693 and I have roughly ~43k of photos and MP4's files in a folder. The files are broken into years and then months and span approximately 20 years. These files are stored on Network drive. Some folders have 10 files while other folders may have 500 files.
The performance of Bridge when starting up is ok at first (not great) but after 15 minutes the performance really starts to drop. As time goes on performance continues to degrade to the point where the User Interface is nearly unresponsive. Even the Windows Task Manager flags the process as red and unresponsive. If I continue to let bridge run in the background or overnight the app is effectively useless the next day and must be restarted.
I have cleared the cache a few times to see if this was an issue. I have also moved the cache to different local hard drives and SSD's to see if that is an issue. Nothing changes. The longer Bridge runs the more unresponsive it becomes. Closing Bridge and waiting a few minutes and then opening the app up again gets that immediate speed boost but it never lasts very long. Nothing I have done seems to be able to resolve this issue.
While I do love many of the features of Bridge I regularly use Windows Explorer to preview folders as it can render previews and pictures substantially faster than Bridge can.
This performance issue has to be rectified.
