By the way, what that does mean to 'sort by name first, then by date'?

An error occurred while saving the comment Kukurykus commentedOn 24.02.23 William Mathe in this thread wrote the comment that now seems to be deleted. I advice to start new thread with your content (which I still have in my Email notification), as it appears is not strictly related to the current Bug:
"I am attempting to collate several hundred images in a file--from about 7 different camera sources, each with differing naming, numbering, and time/date stamping conventions. I'm doing a manual sort followed by a batch rename. Most of the time I dont have an issue.
But twice I've had a catastrophic FAIL (once when dragging an image and once dragging multiple images) where I've accidentally dragged the image too far up the work space and Bridge jumped out of that file and opened another file. There are a couple of issues going on here
1) the space you need to "hit" in order for Bridge to start scrolling up or down is very narrow...I'm OK with that IF if didnt "accidentally" jump to another file
2) now I'm "holding" the image and attempt to drop it back into the file in which I was working--which I think I do--for whatever reason Bridge will jump out but not back in--so I drop the image and reopen the file and ALL OF MY MANUALLY SORTING HAS BEEN LOST...ABOUT$ HOURS OF WORK...I'd like to say many choice words but I'll settle for YELLING in all all CAPS to indicate my FRUSTRATION and IRRITATIONPLEASE PLEASE PLEASE dont revert from a manual sort to ANY OTHER SORT UNLESS THE USER ASKS BRIDGE TO DO THAT....PL EASE PRETTY PLEASE WITH SUGAR ON TOP....CAN WE DO THAT????"

By the way, why have you created another request for the same question (plus commented it using the same content)?
Edit: I recieved Email notification from Ståle Eriksen (which is now deleted along with his nickname in this request):
"Sorry, I didn't see the the first request posted anywhere and assumed there was a problem when I posted it. I'll delete this second post. Re: the commenting, I was unsure of how the posting works, it's not totally intuitive...as it is confusing when you can comment on the post before posting it..."

An error occurred while saving the comment Kukurykus commentedThat's true. In version 13.0.2.636 the double clicked 'Metadata' tab enlarges its content for full screen. The same I can do with ~ key in Windows 10. In Bridge 2022 and CS6 the clicked 'Metadata' label is collapsed to only its name.

An error occurred while saving the comment Kukurykus commentedIndeed, in version 13.0.2.636 it doesn't work when you drag the file (from inside of .zip archive in Windows 10) to 'Content'. It works only when you drop the file to 'Preview'.
In Bridge 2022 and CS6 we can both drag & drop file both to 'Preview' and 'Content' area.

Thank you for pointing this out. We will get this updated
An error occurred while saving the comment Kukurykus commentedYes, that's true :( Now I found another user suprised why 'ideas' word is used for 'bugs':

An error occurred while saving the comment Kukurykus commentedOver 2 months passed and you didn't fix that bug, why?
Now I found someone dislikes it too (look not at topic but additional post of him):

An error occurred while saving the comment Kukurykus commentedIt happens for me when I filter by one star the rated files (however it probably may be other rating or anything else). When I hover the thumbnail from which I want to clear that star by pressing for example 'Ctrl & <' or 'Ctrl & 0', the thumbnail vanishes, but the Quick Data square balloon remains (also outside of Bridge) until quit the application. I found it when I was trying to reproduce bug reported here:

You mean in File Info (Ctrl & I)? And when you're there you see only one line instead of expanded field?
