Disable Thumbnail and Preview Generation, and Caching
Thumbnails and previews are agonizingly slow to generate. Regardless of what settings I change, they take way too long to load, and often times don't load at all. Cache size, cache file size limit, preview quality, etc, none of them are effective, especially for videos since some cache settings don't apply to them. I would like the ability to apply keywords to files quickly. In my case, and I'm sure often enough for others, the thumbnails and previews are excess information. Generating them takes too long to make the workflow possible at all. Please consider. Thank you.

Have you tried setting the following Preferences?
Edit Menu→Preferences→Thumbnails→Do Not Process files larger than 1000 MB. Change this to 1 MB.Also, on the right hand side of the folder navigation bar on top, drop down next to the triangle (Option for thumbnail quality and previews) and select “Prefer Embedded (faster)”. Screenshot attached.
Let us know if this helps by commenting on User Voice.

I don't like the new Content window.
There's too much wasted space between the thumbnails. Also, the dark boxes around the thumbnails are really unnecessary and distracting. I prefer the view of CC 2018. Please make this new look optional, and/or allow users to turn these boxes off in preferences.

In the recently released v10.0 of bridge, there is an option at the bottom of the Content pane to allow users to turn off the ‘dark boxes’. It is called ‘Show Tiles’.
Thanks,
Teja

Support of the heic image format in Bridge
It would be nice if finally the "heic" format would be supported. Apple use the heic format and Canon with the EOS 1 Dx Mark III to.

Add H.265/HEVC support
Bridge does not work with H.265/HEVC files. It neither plays the video in the preview pane, nor does it cache thumbnails for any H.265 files. I am running the latest version of Bridge (12.0.0.234) on Win10. Adobe support have confirmed that H.265/HEVC is not supported.
When I enquired about this, Adobe's own automated support system provided a link about someone requesting this in 2017! H.265/HEVC is no longer an emerging format. It's where the industry is heading, and is seeing wide acceptace. iPhones have shot H.265/HEVC by default for years, and modern entry-level cameras are starting to adopt H.265 as…

Bridge 2022 is painfully slow to open Thumbnails
I updated now Bridge 2022 is really slow to open thumbnails. Please do not release software that does this to your users. Increase the number QA you or go back to releasing the Beta first to a select group. How do you fix it?

View InDesign thumbnails as spreads
Many, many iterations ago, Bridge used to give you thumbnail of the whole opening spread for an InDesign document - which was brilliant for getting a rough overview of your mag. Somewhere around the time alternate layouts was added to InD though we got switched to just the opening page which isn't nearly as helpful. Can we have the (very) old system back?

Smarter and more customisable thumbnail details, for a smoother workflow
The layout and format of the details that appear under the thumbnails could do with some improvement, to reduce interface friction and increase workflow.
Please see the attached screenshot (also at http://bit.ly/2Hrh00Z ). On the left is the current layout. It's dense and unnecessarily hard for the eye to parse quickly. On the rightis a mockup of how that same data could be laid out and formatted.
Below is a list of my proposed changes. Many of these could/should be optional (set in the preferences) so each user can adjust her UI as she needs. And of course there would…

Folders need Thumbnails
Folders need Thumbnails! Its hard to browse folders without a thumbnail for what is actually in the folder! I can't believe you haven't added this feature yet. It's been years! The file explorer has this capability and Bridge should too.
I want to see a thumbnail preview for a folder rather than a folder icon. That way I can get a sense what is in that folder without having to open it!

Darker / thicker typeface
Do not see a category for interface, all panels and windows. I prefer white / light interfaces rather than the dark gray. The new Bridge has settings for type size (thank you!) but on the lightest background the type is medium gray or too thin and very hard to see. Would like a way to make type black on the white or light gray backgrounds, or more bold. Have to go back to 2017. Thank you.

Selecting via Click & Drag
In previous iterations, we used to be able to hold down the alt/command key (Mac), and drag over many thumbnail icons (in alternating columns, let's say), and each would be added to the overall selection. Now that is not the case. While we can click on single thumbnails in a panel while holding down alt/command, the selection refreshes with each new "click and drag."
I occasionally take many screenshots (cmd + shift + 3 on a Mac) which grabs BOTH screens, but I may only need the image on one. When I go back into Bridge, those end up as…

Cannot see progress of thumbnails
Right now I cannot see the progress for thumbnail generation, in a folder of 2300 photos, it is but a guessing game when it will be done and performance will return to the app.

Support preview of .MOGRT files
We have lots of .mogrt files created in Premiere and After Effects (Lower Third graphic files). It is very hard to find or preview them outside Premiere. Make these available to preview in Bridge.

Substance Materials
It would be excellent if Bridge would "render" a preview of Substance materials (sbsar)

Custom Folder Icons
One of the only things I like about Macs is the relative ease of customizing the icons for folders. But the problem is that if there are Macs and PCs on the same network, the same icons aren't visible on both.
I would love if Bridge would allow you to
a) Change those icons from within Bridge itself. (Shouldn't need to go to Finder, then File Info, etc.).
b) Allow Bridge on a PC to see those same Folder Icons. The hidden "Icon?" file is in each folder. Use it. Show it. Make Bridge be more than a bridge for…3 votes -
類似画像検索機能が欲しい。I would like to see a similar image search function.
そうすると「photo.jpeg」を編集して「edit.psd」を保存し、ウェブ用に最適化した「picture.png」を出力することになる。
Bridge has the ability to display and sort images in various ways, but finding similar images or different sizes of the same image can be surprisingly time-consuming.
Especially when you are doing a whole process from printing to websites, you often create print and web versions of a particular image. This would involve editing "photo.jpeg," saving "edit.psd," and outputting "picture.png," which is optimized for the web. As a project, it is manageable if "edit.psd" is still there, and it is still good if it has the same name, but it often has a…2 votes -
Have more metadata options to display with the thumbnails.
I would like to have a wider choice of metadata options to display as addtional lines in the thumbails. The metadata field Title (IPTC Core) would be a nice feature. The field is present in the advanced search, but is not a selectable field for thumbnail display.

Sort by path
I use the 'Show Items from Subfolders', but I'd like to be able to sort the results by the folder, then the filename, I'd consider this to be a sort of "By Path".
