The Best thing about Bridge is being able to See nearly all file types. However, designers often wear more than one hat. Photography, Web, Print, Video...etc.

The problem with the Metadata and file info panel is that it's extremely useless.

This panel should be customizable to the file type selected. If the file is an illustrator file, one should be able to see and move around all the fields that are possible. Inch, CM, Pixel, Pages, Colour...etc

if a file type doesn't have F-Stop info, it shouldn't take up 20% of this valuable space.
Document Type - redundant
Application - nearly as redundant
File size - Redundant
colour Profile - often Untagged and Redundant when it could be CMYK or RGB or Both

If illustrator/Photoshop has rules set to in/cm/px the dimension here should reflect that.
