preview is small
For some reason, the preview on my MS Surface Pro 2 is just a small thumbnail. I have found no way to get it to fill the preview window (as it does on my desktop).

Same issue with images being too small in the preview window when they are lower resolution. Need to be able to zoom in and out with a simple - + slider or key commands in order to at least fill the preview pane with the image instead of having huge amounts of empty space around it. That's far more useful than the awkwardly designed loupe feature. I know we can hit spacebar to open the image in a different view. However, that same functionality specifically in the Preview window would be immensely useful.

That features used to be in Bridge up until CS6, and was then one day removed. I still don't know why, because I always found it very useful.

I have the same issue. and it's quite annoying requiring opening an editor to simply preview the file reasonably. In my case the source material is small (by design) but is a vector image and should scale up nicely - but I have not found any way to scale the preview or the thumbnails.* I can make thumbnails bigger but it does not sale the image - ** with and without the tiles option turn off.
