  1. Do Not Process Files Larger Than ... Ability to Disbale

Bridge>Preferences>Thumnails>Performance and File Handling>Do Not Process Files Larger Than ...

Could a checkbox be added to disable this feature so that when unchecked, all files are processed regardless of size?
Users sometimes ask why thumbnails no not show for certain files and the reason is often because they have too low a value set here.
Users for whom storage space is not an issue would welcome the option to disable this.

  3. Compact Bridge On Idle

    Compact Bridge On Idle

    Hello,

this is in hopes to be forwarded to the Adobe Team.

Regarding Bridge / Preferrences / Cache settings. Bridge 13.03.693

It is recommended to have "Compact Cache On Idle" checked, but when doing so one is constantly bombarded with the blue pop up, asking if you want to do so.

Wouldn't it make more sense not to be bothered by something that supposed to take care of something automatically anyways?

Can this pop up please be eliminated ... it is not necessary and has no purpose.... wasn't there before…

  5. Add support for Corel Painter files

Corel Painter is an awesome program for freehand natural media image creation.. In essence it can be an awesome plug in for Photoshop. It's native file format is .rif and Bridge only displays the painter logo so hard to find an image I wish to open when I'm working in Painter.

  6. Allow users to set the location of the Media Cache.

The default location of the Media Cache is on my C:\ drive. I do not like the C:\ drive to be used for temporary files. The constant creation and deletion of temporary files on the C:\ drive greatly increases the chances for corruption of that drive. Instead, I partition a separate drive to use for temporary things like caches and my Temp folder.

Alternatively, some people might want to put the cache on a fast SSD drive while leaving their C:\ drive as a standard spinning disk.

  7. Where is the status bar?

When opening a new folder I can not see anymore if the cache/preview is still working. In the earlier versions there was a status bar at the bottom that had a circle to show that it's still processing.

  8. Catalog

I find the data cache import and export system extremely uncomfortable and intricate. Could you please give the possibility to save catalogs like Phase One Capture One software do? It would be amazing to have catalogs like theirs but that can manage all the kinds of files that Bridge handles.
    Thank you
