Please improve Window / Tab management (i.e. closer to how it was around 2-3 years ago)
I understand that tabs were introduced because some people deeply wanted them, which I can understand, but for me they have really ruined the Bridge workflow to the point I rarely use it anymore unless I absolutely need to.
Ideally I would love an option to restore all UI functionality to how it was two or three versions ago before tabs were introduced, but I understand that might be impractical to maintain. Therefore, it'd be extremely helpful if the following improvements could be made:
1) Proper tab controls:
Basically any other application I've ever used that has tabs (including photoshop etc) allows you to Control-Tab to switch tabs, and Command - W (Ctrl W on windows) to close a tab. Bridge does not, nor are those customizable as far as I could tell, though I'd be happy to be proven wrong.
2) proper multi-window support:
Bridge treats "new window" as "clone the current window" rather than actually opening a new window. This should behave like in a web browser or Finder or basically any other tabbed application. "New Window" should open a window with only one tab, set to your home folder or last visited folder or whatever. Not a duplicate with all the same tabs as the other window.
3) If I don't ask for something to be in a new tab, it shouldn't open in a new tab.
As you can probably tell I don't use the tabs much, but I still end up with a bunch of them (which persist across restarts, which also should be a setting as I find that quite tedious), as things just open in new tabs for no discernible reason, and then eventually I'll get a warning that the maximum number of tabs is open so I can't open what I'm trying to open. It's deeply frustrating.
4- This is unrelated but I don't feel like starting another thread, please fix scrolling so it doesn't jump weirdly row by row. Bridge is the only app on my Mac that doesn't scroll smoothly with the touch bar and magic mouse, it feels extremely antiquated.
