Lightroom's Keyboard Shortcuts for Keywords and Filtering Layout/Options
One of the reasons I do not use Lightroom to organize my photos and videos is because when saving metadata to the file, by design, Lightroom changes both the file's creation and modified dates. Because I sort my files by creation date, I mainly use Bridge to browse/search and add metadata to them but miss a lot of the advanced metadata options Lightroom has such as: keyboard shortcuts to add keywords, purge all unused keywords, copy metadata to multiple files, etc.
For filtering in Lightroom, there's a bar that appears at the top that allows users to filter for files by text, attribute, and metadata. These are listed in columns like iTunes browse field, but in Bridge everything is listed on top of another and takes up a lot of space. I love being able to filter by "any searchable field" instead of having to "add" multiple fields in Bridge and re-select the same search criteria for each additional field in order to do the same thing. In Lightroom I can just type for multiple keywords and only have one to choose the text criteria once. (e.g. any searchable field, filename, keywords)
As of now I use Bridge to organize my files, then import them to Lightroom so I can quickly search for them. I'd love it if I could have all of Lightroom's metadata saving, organizing, filtering, layout/options in Bridge because that, by design, does not change my file's creation dates when I add metadata to them.
