Hi,
This feature is now released as part of Bridge v10.0.
Please upgrade Bridge to v10.0 to see the change.
At the bottom of the Content pane, you should uncheck “Show Tiles”. After Tiles are removed, go to Edit→Preferences→Interface→Image Backdrop to change the slider to pure white.
Thanks,
Teja

Dear Bridge users,
As one of the top voted features, this is actively under development. We plan to provide option to hide the tiles so that you can see larger thumbnails and zoom out if you need to see more assets in Content View. While 9.1 (released) has some improvements, the upcoming Bridge release this year end will have significant improvements in this area. As far as the folder view and Keywords is concerned, we hope to address that next year.
Meanwhile, some of you may benefit from the existing “View Menu→Show Thumbnails Only” to see more assets in Content View.
Thank you for your vote.

This is the most important thing in my image editing workflow, and I edit over 4000 images per day (my company). We all use Adobe products, but I can't update my employees software to the lates because Bridge will be unusable for us. We need a pure white backdrop on a list of image thumbnails to check the correct background without any dirt or unwanted shadows touching the edge of image. With current "Bright" color theme we will make a lot of mistakes and will loose client and will get a lot of financial losses. And it's because you've probably got new designers that never used Bridge in real working process.
This is very important!!! Please update the option to be able to set the backdrop any color user needs and get rid of the darker frame around thumbnal!!!
