I have this exact same problem. It I can get the audio to sometimes play correctly if I deselect the clip and re-select it. It seems to occur usually when I am clicking directly from one clip to another, at which time the previous clips audio will start looping (about 1 second of it).
Not sure if it is related, but Bridge will also sometimes open without the ability to preview video files (mp4s in my case). If I open premiere before opening bridge this will usually fix the problem.
I have tried:
- resetting bridge preferences & purging the cache
- bridge had never been installed on this laptop until this morning when I installed it
I am running on a MSI laptop with a Nvidia RTX Quadro card, windows 10, and all the latest versions of Premiere & Bridge.
