An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Ben commented@ A. maybe you are suffering from a different scrolling problem that I am. In 2018 I don't get that dizzy feeling that the thumbnails are moving up when they are actually moving down.
An error occurred while saving the comment Ben commentedI totally agree. I think what's happening is that instead of the rows of thumbnails scrolling continuously, they are jumping from row to row. As the new row enters the screen, it is a bit higher than the row it replaced, so it gives you the illusion that the rows are moving up. Makes me dizzy.
By the way, you can use Bridge 2018 alongside Creative Cloud 2020. You just have to overwrite Camera Raw 12 with Camera Raw 11 (available here: https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-in-installer.html). Keep the installer handy, as you will need to do it every time you update Photoshop.
An error occurred while saving the comment Ben commentedI can't put my finger on it, but the scrolling in Bridge 2018 feels normal and the scrolling in 2019 feels like I'm walking backwards on a treadmill. Are the relative rates of the scroll bar and the content different? Whatever it is, it is weird.

Hi,
This feature has been released in Bridge v10.0.
In the Content Panel, there is a check box “Show Tiles” which can be unchecked to remove the Thumbnail boxes.
Thanks,

Senior Product Manager,
Adobe BridgeAn error occurred while saving the comment Ben commentedI am just noticing what what one of the commenters pointed out below—with tiles off, folder names are both distant from the folders (because they are in the spot where they would be if the tiles were on) and left aligned. Short folder names look bizarre.
This is barely better than 2019—but installing it has broken my old copy of 2018 (keyboard shortcut for applying stars doesn't work) so I have no choice but it live with it. :-(
An error occurred while saving the comment Ben commentedAdding to my comment from yesterday: the wasted space in Bridge 2020 is even worse than I thought. If you unselect "thumbnails only" in order to see filename and rating, it spaces the filename and rating as if the the tile is there, leading to a huge space underneath each photo. PLEASE give an option to just return to the 2018 arrangement.
An error occurred while saving the comment Ben commentedI have installed the new Bridge 2020 and was excited to see the option to hide the tiles. But the space between the thumbnail is about twice as big, so still lots of wasted space. Please restore the 2018 look or make that space adjustable.

Dear Bridge users,
As one of the top voted features, this is actively under development. We plan to provide option to hide the tiles so that you can see larger thumbnails and zoom out if you need to see more assets in Content View. While 9.1 (released) has some improvements, the upcoming Bridge release this year end will have significant improvements in this area. As far as the folder view and Keywords is concerned, we hope to address that next year.
Meanwhile, some of you may benefit from the existing “View Menu→Show Thumbnails Only” to see more assets in Content View.
Thank you for your vote.

Senior Product Manager,
Adobe BridgeAn error occurred while saving the comment Ben commentedAgreed +1000. What is the purpose of having the thumbnail in a box—and then also have space between the boxes?
I am exclusively using Bridge 2018 because of the interface issues with 2019. .

Oh my god I think this is fixed in Bridge 2023. Am I right or am I just forgetting what it used to be like?
