This happened to me sometimes in the middle of 2019. And it continues to today.
My Photoshop files have always been up to date. It is running on PC with Windows 10, also up to date.
This happened so far in Bridge to the RAW files created by Canon 1Ds with a suffix of .TIF. And it happens when the TIF file is included in one of the Collections in Bridge, the XMP file that had been associated with it becomes disconnected. When this happens is unpredictable. Sometimes it happens and some other times it doesn’t. When it happens, the result is the image of the photo in Bridge will no longer appear in the Preview window and when the image in the Content is right clicked, the line “File Info” above “label” will be missing.
However, the XMP file is still there when I looked under Windows folder view.
When I copied or moved both the TIF and the associated XMP files into a newly created folder, they were connected. But when I moved them back to the original folder, they were disconnected again.
What is going on and how I can get these files reconnected in the original folder?
