And on a whim I tried using a PS Batch routine from the Bridge pull-down menu. Even though I selected 32 files and they 'highlight' like you'd expect, a pop-up window tells me 'There were no source files that could be opened by PS'.
These files exist and are are visible in Bridge and in Finder.
If it helps, I'm using a Mac with Catalina, all updated to the latest.
Another UPDATE:
I attempted a batch routine while in PS using the pull-down menu: File > Automate > Batch...
It worked perfectly.
I've got the same trouble. Except only the files in ONE folder (that I know of). Other folders/images work like usual.
Can't double click
Can't Command-O
Can't use pull-down File menu
But I CAN open the files directly in PS using the pull-down File menu
I've shutdown > re-started
un-installed > restarted > re-installed
No good.
UPDATE:
I reset Preferences: no good.
