    I wonder if this is the right forum for that bug report.
    The bug is confirmed by the InDesign developer team. It seems that is has nothing to do with Adobe Bridge, but it affects InDesign and Illustrator users working with TIFF images as assets with CC Libraries.

    The same issue happens if you drag TIFF image files from the file system to an open CC Library in InDesign and Illustrator and place the asset from the CC library.

    Seems that the issue is more Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator related than Adobe Bridge.
    If one uses menu commands "Edit Original" or "Edit with > Adobe PhotoShop CC 2019 20.0" with a placed TIFF asset turned to PNG, PhotoShop will open the asset as TIFF image from a temp folder in the file system.

    All my tests were done on Windows 10.
    The OP of the linked discussion to the InDesign User Forum is on OS X.
