Bridge 2019 Photo Downloader doesn't remember previous settings
The new Photo Downloader always comes up in Standard Dialog, even though I previously closed it in Advanced. It always defaults to my Pictures folder, even though I chose a different folder for previous download. It always defaults to Basic Metadata, even though I chose something different on previous use.

Hi,
The issue has been fixed in latest release of Bridge # 12.0
Thanks,
Bridge Team

It is now 2 1/2 months since I reported the bug and by my count at least two updates, one for sure to Bridge where the Photo Downloader resides. Yet, what? Not fixed yet? This seriously impacts workflow. Not a professional response for a professional paid-for tool, especially for what I suspect is simply and error of not reading in or writing out the settings properly. Please get your development staff on this ASAP.

Adobe records gillions in profit $$'s but cannot fix this simple quirk. I thought CC was supposed to remedy these long ghostings from their engineers. Maybe this dips into their record breaking profit margins.

Same issue. Very disappointing and I'm guessing it should be an easy bug to fix.

Once changed, the download settings in previous versions Bridge Photo Downloader remained constant each time a camera memory card was inserted for downloading. However, this extremely helpful feature was lost when we upgraded. This is very frustrating for me and my university colleagues who take and process large numbers of images. Worse, if we forget to include such things as copyright information; that important information (we must show photo provenances for publications) is at risk of being lost. PLEASE FIX THIS!

Latest Bridge update to version 9.0.2.219 has still not adressed this issue.
Irritating is a gross understatement. -

My Bridge Photo Downloader 2019 doesn't remember previous settings (and starts always in Standard Dialog mode) and has "Apply Metadata" section in separate window, outside of main Downloader Window. How to fix it ? Start with reseted preferences and reinstalling Bridge didn't help.

As a WORKAROUND one can install Bridge CC8 (2018) again via CC and use the Photo downloader of that version. One can use the new Bridge version anyways. You have to make your settings once again in that screen if you deinstalled the old Bridge version when you installed Bridge CC 2019 but it keeps the settings then again.
One just has to delete the old Bridge version again if Adobe finds the certainly small bug with Photo Downloader and solves the problem with an update. -

Adobe, are you joking me?!
I have to make 31 (!) clicks every time I import pictures from one of my cameras (from 2 to about 20 times a day) to get my names a la 2018-11-10_150622_filename.jpg plus saying no sub-folder plus the folder where it shall be imported plus deleting original files plus typing in my copyright? Every time? 20 times a day?
This is not acceptable.MacBook Pro 15" Mid 2015, macOS Mojave 10.14.1, just updated to CC2019.

Version 9 . 0 . 1 . 216 : Bug not solved!
This is a real bug affecting our workflow!
It's time consuming to re-enter the information each time we read files from an external support.PLS, take care of it,

I have the same issue. None of the settings stick like they did in previous Bridge versions so each time the Photo Downloader is used all required settings must be selected again.
